Joe's is the kind of place that welcomes you in warmly and feeds you delicious seafood. But it doesn't stop there. It's here that good food, good times, and good memories are created everyday. We're a little quirky, but we're proud of it. So strap on a bib, order your favorite bucket of crab and don't be afraid to dance.

In Short
Admittedly kitschy, unavoidably noisy, this Red Lobster for rug rats is like an oversized seaside shanty awash in oceanic memorabilia--fishing nets, souvenir trinkets, plastic flotsam and jetsam. Staffed with a lively crew of G-rated table-dancing servers, the family-friendly chain anchors its menu in all things crab: Crab balls, crab cakes, crab dip, crab gumbo. Finicky children opt for corndogs or hamburgers; shellfish-phobic adults dine on rib eye steak or mesquite-grilled chicken.

The Inside Scoop

  1. Save Money - Discounted menus are offered for seniors, students and large groups.
  2. Know Before You Go - You may want to bring some extra cash to buy a tie-dyed T-shirt or an irreverent pair of boxer shorts from the gift shop.

Are you looking for some tasty plump fresh shrimp? Then look no further because you should definitely head over to Joe's Crab Shack. It's a good place to hang out with friends or even take out a person on a date. The price isn't too bad, it should be in the decent price range. The shrimp platter is a must try.

Ratings_icons Best Shirmp Around

Quynh N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,452

Joe's Crab Shack got the best SHRIMP around. I love to eat here with my friend. The price is roughly around $8 a dish; which is very reasonable for a seafood dish. My all time favorite that I always got to order whenever I eat here is the fried shrimp platter. Joe's Crab Shack is a great restaurant is a great place to meet your old friend. I meet three of my high school friends that I lost contacted while eating at Joe's Crab Shack. I would recommend every to drop by.

Ratings_icons The best experince at joe's ever!!

From the moment I walked in the store I knew I was going to have a great time. They sat my friend and I down as soon as we walked in. We had three different people checking on us to make sure we were being helped (I'm guessing so they could help out their fellow waiter jsu in case they were busy). Linette had a great personality, very warming and inviting. I was really impressed with this crew. I've had bad experiences at other Joe's, but this one by far makes up for all of my othe pass experiences. I had to let the manager know how great of a job her team was doing so I asked to speak to her. Not knowing whether I was going to complain or not, she walks over with just as attentive and as pleasant as the rest of her crew. They really made my dinner.

I wouldn't go here for a romantic or quiet meal. It's a good place for birthdays or for kids. There's a party atmosphere, and it can get obnoxious. The food is pretty good. The service was great. There was a wait for a table thirty minutes before closing time, so it appears to stay busy.

Pros: Fun, Atmosphere

Cons: Cheesy

This is a favorite spot when we head out to dinner with our kids 9 & 4 yrs old. Great kids menu that offers a variety of items....a MAJOR plus for us since our 9 yr old is a vegetarian and a finicky eater and will only eat certain foods. The food is good & filling; the atmosphere is tons of fun with energetic waiters/waitresses that dance every half hour or so. They even have a playground for the kids and a person that makes balloon hats. Definitely a family oriented restaurant that has something for everyone! No reservations accepted-be there by 5 and get seated immediately; anytime after 6...plan to wait a very long time.

Pros: Reasonably priced, Kid/family friendly, Good food

Cons: Bad parking, VERY crowded, drafty

The food took for ever to get to my table, but the food was fantastic. Very crowded so get there early. Parking is horrific. But it's all worth it for the good food.
