The Men's Wearhouse's superb customer service was abyssmal. My fiance and I basically were throwing ourselves at their feet with a guaranteed rental of 5 tuxes, and they blew it. We waited at the rental desk by ourselves (the desk had a print-out of a customer's information for all to view; highly unprofessional), then we intercepted by an employee and given a monotone "Congratulations on your wedding," line. Ok, whatever. After looking through their catalogue again by ourselves, another employee came to help us. When I explained that I thought my fiance would look good in a non-traditional burgundy vest, she sort of snapped at me and said that the groom's tux is supposed to match the bride's dress, yadda yadda, but that it's a matter of choice. I'm not interested in her opinion. But her tone was really stand-offish, and both my fiance and I were totally taken aback. I've been looking at tons of bridal mag's and there are a lot of grooms with white and a different color in their tuxedos, while the brides are all in white. It's not unheard of. They only had half-vest swatches available to "try on" with a shirt, so it made it really difficult to see how my fiance was going to look. To top it off, they only had the 2 most expensive jackets to try on. Us women spend hours trying on dresses to figure out what we want, right? They don't let the guys do that at the Men's Wearhouse. My fiance got really ticked off when he realized that. We're not talking about a prom here, it's a friggin wedding. Why do you want to risk picking from a catalogue? When the employee was asked about this, she sort of brushed it off. I mean, they didn't seem to *care*. I don't get it. I just heard from a friend that she's had similar experiences with customer service- nonexistent. Skip it.
