I would not sign up for this club just based on their customer service at the main office number, and mainly due to their cancellation policy. They require a 30 day notice to cancel, and you have to go down and personally sign something (a complete hastle!!) so, the end result is that they get another month or 2 of fees out of you, and make it a big inconvience to simply cancel! Credit cards, and any other membership are in the new millenium and allow a simple phone call to suffice, but not club one! This really annoyed me to no end!

I agree, the manager Debbie made an offensive remark to me about looking at a lady in the club. How can she presume I am looking that way and even if I did what right does she have to make such a comment. I was so shocked by her comment that I did not know what to say so I simply ignored her.

Beside all the lousy old and rusty equipments, the manager also was so rude, don't waist your time to go there, there are many other gyms with better price with new equipments and better services than this club one silicon valley, avoid getting mistreated, don't bother to go there, you'll regret to join club one silicon valley.

Debbie Winner, the manager at Club One Silicon Valley, was extremely rude, disrespectful and abusive towards me, a loyal, regular customer for the past three years.
I am a loyal customer and I have been working out at Club One for about three years. I am not just a new customer who barely started a new membership yesterday or last week. I??ve been there for a while. As a manager of Club One Silicon Valley, she should handle her job more professionally and not just raise her voice with a bad attitude and tell me not to interrupt her when she is talking. What kind of customer service is that? Is that how managers is being trained at Club One Fitness to treat the customers? Club One is a high end gym which I'm a paying customer and I expect to be treated courteously, but in this case she kept going on and on. She was not willing to listen to me or handle the situation politely and appropriately.
My situation is that I was charged $30 a month because of an employee discount since my brother used to work at Club One. When my brother stopped working at Club One in the middle of January 2009, Club One did not cancel my membership for the coming up month. Also, I wasn't notified until the last week of this month, February, that there was a problem with my membership. Just to add insult to injury of how unprofessional the manager was, she said it was my fault that I didn't tell Club One that they gave me the $30 employee discount for February and I needed to pay the difference to continue being a member. I was so calm and told her nicely because it is not a big deal at all to me but I think Club One should let me finish the month February without paying the difference $18 more and start off new on March with a new yearly contract, but she didn't listen and being so rude.
That is not being professional as a club manager. I believe Ms. Winner definitely needs more training on customer service to be more professional and personable as a club manager. She is making Club One look very bad by the way she treats customers. As the name Club One ??Silicon Valley? suggests, it??s all about the internet; it??s all about email. In other words, bad reviews and negative comments can travel very quickly. What would all my friends think about how Club One??s manager, Debbie Winner, treats returning, long-time, loyal customers? What an upsetting, disturbing, frustrating experience at Club One Silicon Valley! I am seriously thinking about ending my membership at Club One and joining a gym where the staff members know how to treat customers the right way.
