Mel Rapton Honda

Being in the market for a new car for the past year i have been to many dealerships. After my wife and I decided on a Honda, I figured we would give our local Sacramento dealer, Mel Rapton Honda the 1st shot. I can not tell you how happy we were to choose them 1st. We have purchased many cars in our life and never on the 1st visit. When we arrived last Saturday I was actually amazed at how nice the dealership looked, not like your typical car lot on Fulton. When we arrived last Saturday we were first amazed that a group of salespeople were not standing around like voultures looking at us as there prey. We were greeted by a very nice gentleman, Gabriel, explained to him that we were in the market for a new SUV. After taking his time to figure out what we wanted, rather then just showing us the first Pilot on the lot! He then excused himself and a few minutes later drove up in the exact car we had talked about. After taking it for a test drive he sat us down and made the process so easy! I've got to say that I was truly amazed by everyone at Mel Rapton Honda and how we were treated. From meeting Gabriel to having the General Sales Manager Todd, personally thank us for the purchase before we left. If you are looking for a great local family business, Mel Rapton Honda is the place!!!!

Our experience buying a fab new Honda Fit from Mel Rapton as a part of the cash-for-clunkers program was the best! Our salesman Cody Crocker was friendly and extremely patient. No pressure or hard-sell as he let us try out the various models we were considering. When it came time to square away the deal and get the paperwork in order, it was like the entire staff came to our assistance: sales manager, finance, used car manager - everybody helped us get the best deal we could on the car we really wanted. We honestly felt like they were working for us and we were part of a team. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Ask for Cody. We went last week and really didn't know exactly what we wAnted. He was extremely helpful and patient. Never made us feel pressured. The manager was just ok. Lower rating bEcuase of manager.

They do not treat their customers right. The manager we dealt with was arrogant and rude. They kept us waiting for hours for no apparent reason. They lost our down payment check and asked us for another one with no apology what so ever. We will never do business with them again.

Although we are not perfect, we do our best to help our customers during their buying or servicing visits to our family dealership. This dealership is high pressure. They sat there for hours to convince me to buy a car I didn't want. I settled because I really wanted one soon and they made it seem like I would never find one in the color and trim level that I wanted. One week later the exact car that I was looking for was on their lot. I think they scammed me- knowing the car I wanted was on it's way, but trying to tell me it was impossible to find so they could sell the one they had. I would look elsewhere first.

ME AND MY WIFE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO BUY A CIVIC FOR OUR SON AT C.S.U. .. WE HAVE BEEN TO EVERY HONDA DEALER FROM STOCKTON TO CHICO AND BY FAR MEL RAPTON HONDA WAS THE BEST SERVICE HANDS DOWN .THERE INTERNET DEPARTMENT IS A REAL CLASS ACT...5 STARS.

I was in the market for a new car. I sent the dealership an email indicating the vehicle I wa interested in and I was going to pay the price of what a major online car website had to offer. They agreed to sale me the vehicle at that price but would not get me the vehicle I wanted and would not search for what I wanted. I guess they are not interested in a sale our completely satisfy their customers.

PROS: None
CONS: Poor Cutomer service

Yeah, their slogan sounds a little desperate, but they really work with you and your wants. The salesman were nice, haggling was unnecessary, and the selection is great. I purchased a fullly loaded Honda Accord EX V6 for REALLY cheap. It was a lot easier than expected with all of the horror stories I've heard other people have had with car dealerships. Recommended!
