Tailgater's Sports Bar & Grill

After years of going to Tailgaters prior to and after Condors games, I was happy to see that Tailgaters reopened and our crowd of Condors fans were ready to renew our fun prior to and following games. However, we were very displeased to hear the buzz around the 'Open House" of the 09/10 Condors at the Ice arena. I was sorry to hear that the new management has opted to remove Condors memorabilia and sponsorship of the Condors. The word is that the boycott is in full operation due to the lack of welcome to Condors fans and mangement. The throngs of fans are talking up "Goose Loonies" as the replacement for the old Tailgaters who actively sponsored the Condors in the past. It is a real shame that Tailgaters has opted to turn their establishment into a rumored "Raider Nation" haunt. Too bad they decided to walk away from their Condors clientele. Hello Goose Loonies, or any other establishment who supports and welcomes the Condors fans.

And who does this new management think ther are, Hooters. NOT. Stop making your waitress staff wear those skimpy little tennis skirts. The Waitresses should apply to ACLU for protection of having to work in a hostile atmosphere due to the mandate to wear these outfits. The guys are not wearing hotpants.

Good food and service. Friendly competition among patrons makes for a good time. Only downside is the (and a lot of places in downtown Bakersfield have this) warehouse type ceiling which is bad for acoustics making background noise a little louder than necessary.

The game is on and the food is good. This is a great place for the sports fan. They have plenty of televisions and you can find your game. The prices are reasonable and there is something for the whole family if they like sports.

Tailgaters is the perfect place to relax and watch a game. They have more than enough TVs and are pretty willing to turn it to whatever game you want to see, if its not already playing. Great pub food too.
