Alwatan Halal Restaurant

If you are ever jonesing for a taste of Islamabad AlWatan Halal Restaurant is the place to go in LA. The ambience is pure 3rd world meaning the lack of ambience is the ambience. The blaring Pakistani TV channel next to the mirrored archway gets you in the mood as soon as you walk in. Everything I have had there is pretty great particularly the mixed Tandoori, the Haleem and the Nehari. You can't go wrong and it's dirt cheap. Of course you and your clothes will reek of curry and spices for the next day or two and you may need to invest in a jar of Beano but it's worth the trip.
