Love, Love, Love this Salon!!! I have problem hair, and that's an understatement!! I was referred by a friend, so I thought I would give it a try. I called; the girl on the phone, Nicole, was wonderful she worked with my schedule to get me in as soon as possible. I got an appointment with Andrew. He was so friendly and charming, and just ...so nice! When I walked in I was surprised, I had been to a different salon that use to be in the same place years ago, and not happy; but now it's under new ownership, and what a difference!! The place is totally new, fresh, and clean. The staff is warm, friendly, helpful, and wonderful. They did some sort of Brazilian treatment (don't ask me what it was, all I know is that it was wonderful for my hair). I have never been so happy with my hair. I was so pleased, I even had my brows waxed, by a girl named Cathy, and she was amazing. I found my new Salon!!! I never write reviews online or anywhere else. In fact, I usually don't say anything unless I??m unhappy. But this place went so far above and beyond my expectations; I just had to let everyone know!!! Love You John Thomas Salon!!

I LOVE THIS SALON!!! It??s brand new. I was in a pinch, last minute meeting, was only given one days?? notice from my boss. I had to be there and make the best possible impression and presentation. I wasn??t worried about the presentation part, to hear my sales pitch; so here??s my take on this salon: I called and they made a next day early appointment for me!! Wow! Good start right? Then I met Kathy, she was wonderful!!!! I got a Brazilian Blowout, color, cut and blow dry. The whole time, I was polishing up my presentation on my IPAD and had never looked-up. Then Kathy said, you??re all done, Monica.? Well I looked up and saw myself in the mirror and was astonished!!! I looked ten years younger!!!! I couldn??t believe my eyes. I must admit, I have this problem, when I look at myself in the mirror, I never notice the good stuff. I always focus, like a laser beam on every single imperfection I can find. I looked and looked and all I could see was a wonderful, shinny, glowing soft auburn color. The cut was perfect (young, sassy, yet still professional), the Brazilian made my hair straight and soft. I??m the first one to register a complaint, and honestly, the last one to pay a compliment (I know, I have to work on that). Well, this is my start! I look so good, I made a mental note to write this review as soon as I got home from the meeting. Honestly, I was in a big rush and needed a lot done (hair-wise)! And Kathy really came through for me. As a matter of fact, Samantha C., my boss, came up to me after the meeting and said (and I quote), My God Monica, you look fabulous, amazing, incredible! What did you do? You look like you had a complete makeover! Who does your hair, your make-up, everything? Well Sammy (that??s what we call Samantha). Well Sammy, I went to the John Thomas Salon in T.O. My stylist was Kathy Johnson, I did the make-up myself.
I will never go anywhere else or have anyone else touch my hair!!!!!! Thank you Kathy, you??re wonderful!

It is nice to know that there is an A-Z salon in Thousand Oaks with such great estheticians. Cathy Gates is truly a maestro in her profession. I am glad that she is back in Conejo valley with us. I would highly recommend her to other customers. She is very thorough and careful with her work.Thanks Adrienne for recommending Cathy

I have been to this place to see one particular person, Cathy Gates. She does some great waxing. I love what she can do for me. In regards to the place, as you walking you can tell this place is up to date, clean, and very friendly. Good place to go to if you are in need of any salon services but especially if you need to get some waxing done. You need to ask for Cathy Gates though.

I am extremely surprised at the last post!!! This salon is professional, friendly and very up to date on the latest trends!! I first called in to make an appointment for my boyfriend and his son and they were taken almost immediately that day! I left directions on how I wanted his sons' hair and what his father wanted and was assured they would make it to the stylist, which they did. Other salons where I requested this were very rude and seemed insulted.I myself have since been to Salon 805 and have seen nothing but excellent & professional work!Color correction, hilights, or a rockin' haircut....this is the place to go, you will not be disappointed!!!

I went once about a year ago and my hair color and cut is still the big joke with my friends and coworkers. I walked in with long blonde natural-looking hair and provided a picture of a cut with slight layers. I walked out with yellow hair with white stripes cut in a mullet (I'm not exagerating a bit, I swear). The stylist actually ratted my hair and I looked like a rocker from an 80's hair band. I'm not sure if the stylist thought I looked like I was someone she hated or what, but I was paralyzed in terror, paid the outrageous $150 and went straight to Josh at the Hair Grove, who counseled me through 8 months of headbands and helped it grow into a great style. Worst salon/business I've ever encountered! Please do no go - they are awful! They gave me 2 decent cuts before the disaster - so don't be fooled. Aweful!

I read the other review on Sara at Salon 805 and I had a great experience. I called on a Saturday and she was able to squeeze me in (without asking). I got a really great cut and she was very accommodating on what I was looking for. Also, her pricing was not outrageous. I will be going back!

This place has everything to make you gorgeous for your daily life as well as the special days. My favorite haircutter is Sara. She listens to your ideas and actually does the cut without any airs about her. Her rates are also very reasonable. The salon provides great spa services as well as the salon services including manicures. All the stylists are friendly and down to earth. Their spa services create a calm sanctuary of rest and relaxation in a hectic day. Relax and refresh yourself at this wonderful day spa.

PROS: Professional, friendly stylists. Full salon & day service under one roof.
CONS: Little pricey for some services but not unreasonable.
