For clarification purposes of the prior reviewer, the shop between Haley and Cota is called Santa Barbara Consignment Co. Opportunity Shop is actually 516 E. Gutierrez. Both are great shops though.

THE OPPORTUNITY SHOP

is between Haley and Cota.
As so many have said befor this place is wounderful.
And everyone is as wounderful. This is a must when your need calls for something new for the house. The opportunity shop...
an opportunity to keep giving.

...Full of all kinds of furniture, much of it very decent quality. The Opportunity Shop is somewhat "picky" and they won't accept just anything (no junk). They will either come to your house and pick up or you can drop the item(s) off. They large store is located in downtown Santa Barbara at Canon Perdido and Chapala Streets. It is not a consignment shop. If they want an item you are offering to sell, they will make you a reasonable offer. I have sold them some items of furniture in the past and have always found them to be quite fair. They do have some antiques too.

PROS: Decent pre-owned furniture, lots to choose from.
CONS: Might not have exactly what you are looking for.
