I loved this store and not just because it was in walking distance of my house but that helped. Unfortunately the store is no longer in business--it closed in Summer 2007.

Amazing Class
by Imogen W.
I have been knitting for over 5 years, but never made more than shawls and scarves. I took a private at this store because I was in LA for a few days and had wondered in. The class was amazing, it was so clear and I learned a lot. I am now starting a cabled cardigan with buttons and a hood. I am half way through it and am totally inspired by what I learned. It is so great to be taught in a way that you really see what is happening in the fabric. I also came out with a huge haul of beautiful yarns, and a very good selection of needles.

I found this store because of this site
by Hillary B.
I have lived in my neighborhood for 7 years, and had no idea this was here. I found it on this site while surfing. I bought out the house. Some things were a bit higher than other places, but everything is displayed so well and easy to find I didn't mind paying the extra 10 or 15 cents. It is probably the best selection of yarns in my area. I like Knit Cafe a lot too, but the selection is really limited and they don't always have time to help with problems. Amy was working there, she said she was the manager. She was super friendly and was knitting a beautiful wedding veil. I give this place 2 thumbs up.
PROS: The most serious collection of gorgeous yarns
CONS: Hasn't advertised enough, had no idea they were there

Amazing Yarn Store
by Sie B.
I agree with the review before mine. It is a very well stocked yarn store, and everyone is very helpful and knows knitting backwards and forwards. I found most of the prices to be very competitive with other LYS. Infact a couple things I bought were a little less, and some were the same. I did see a few very expensive yarns, I think it was called Alchemy. I haven't seen those before. So I don't know if they are priced well. I ended up buying some, and they have knitted up so gorgeous I am going back for a few more. I think Alchemy is going to be my latest addiction. Also, I was very impressed because Drew Barrymore was in at the same time and they gave me just as much attention as they were giving her, and she was buying much more than I did. That was refreshing.
Thumbs up,
Sue
PROS: Lots of gorgeous yarns.
CONS: I didn't have enough time to look at everything the way I would have liked.

I find myself leaving this store without the yarn I loved, and why? because it is more expensive than anywhere else, it's too bad since the ladies who work here are friendly and nice, they should be enjoying more business. The store itself is cozy and sweet, there's a warm-hearted feeling here, no charge to wind skeins into balls, it's worth coming to see all their beautiful hard to find yarns, maybe purchase some for a special small project.
PROS: beautiful hard to find yarns
CONS: bring quarters for parking meters
