Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria

I recommend the deep dish, the thin crust can be too crispy sometimes. The pizza is amazing! It's not your ordinary pizza, it's the man of all pizzas! I suggest more than one topping to let your taste buds go wild!

The most Authentic Chicago Pizza restaurant your going to find in San Diego County! Specializing in deep dish pizza loaded with fresh toppings, these pizzas are heavy! They also have thin crust and a variety of Chicago type specialties such as hot dogs and a fairly large selection of wines. Casual atmosphere with Chicago photos, maps and sports memorabilia all over the walls. Limited indoor seating and a nice patio outside. Be forewarned that these pizzas take a minimum of 45 minutes to cook, but worth the wait!

I've never been a fan of deep dish pizza, but I heard about Lefty's on KPBS and decided to give it a try. The sauce is fresh and tangy with chunky tomatoes and the other toppings are generous and tasty.
I've become a convert to their artery clogging, delicious, and addicting fare.

Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria has the best pizza in the San Diego. You can choose from thin crust, deep dish and stuffed pizzas. The ingredients are fresh (and not skimpy) and the crust is amazing. Especially the deep dish pizza-- I recommend the "Gold Coast" -- with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, basil and garlic. They also have chili fries, hot dogs, salads and more. There's outdoor seating on the patio out front. A friendly, tasty neighborhood favorite.
