Take every bad experience you've ever had or heard of at a dealership and voila, Michael Stead Porsche. I typically always use independent shops bc they always make time for you and want to earn your business. You know when you find mechanics who truly love the brand and are passionate about working on them you have a good match. Even though I am about 55 mins away I tried service here bc of the positive reviews but I got the shorter end of the stick. I brought my car here to have $10k worth of rodent damage repaired all under insurance. Here are the issues:

1. They offered a discount on the repair but excluded it as soon as they knew it was going to be covered by insurance.
2. It took them 1 month to fix the car even though they received all needed parts within the initial week
3. I informed them that an insurance agent was to come out and look at some additional damages but they accidentally threw out the damaged piece so I was unable to get reimbursed.
4. The final bill had to be revised 3 times because the amount always increased when it shouldnt have so I had to comb through it every single time and correct them.
5. They were poor at follow up with me and I had to call each time to find out status.
6. They underdelivered by stating that they would steamclean the engine but was never done.
7. They had one of two exhaust pieces stick out further than should have been.
8. The wheel alignment was off when it should have been corrected.
9. They wouldnt agree to clean the rodent mess at a later date because I had no time to return after giving them 1 month to get it right the 1st time around.
10. Service manager would not take responsibility for the piece they threw out so I could be reimbursed by the insurance company.
11. Service manager also took me off the PCA group tire buy event after all their wrong doing
12. The General Manager did nothing to rectify the situation either.

Being a Porsche Club of America member I now know why they have such a hard time retaining customers which is what they alluded to when speaking with them. The organization lacks integrity, competance, accountability, customer service and most importantly they were not honest.

Porsche, ahhh..., great and beautiful cars until they become a money pit. They break down way too often and to repair them cost a fortune at Stead Porsche despite so called "10% good will coupon".
Don't buy Porsche--bad cars!!
Thanks, Erick S.

These guys wanted $10000 to fix an oil leak on my 1991 C2! They said it HAD to have the entire engine rebuilt in order to address the problem. I took it to Valhalla in Lafayette and they fixed the leak at a fraction of the cost and they didn't remove the engine. I called the service manager and he really didn't seem too concerned saying it was their "policy" to rebuilt engines if they feel there was a certain amount of work required on the car. There was no mention of this or any other option before. They have lost my business.

Pretty good service if you're willing to pay for it. Profession and prompt. I had a problem where I lost the key to the wheel locks on my 911. The shop that installed them had long gone out of business. After being turned way everywhere else , Porsche service can to the rescue and custome made a key to remove them. $450 later I was able to get the slow leak on my tire fixed!
