Great place to stay. Beautiful hotel. I would stay there again over and over. All the staff was great. A little pricey, but worth every penny. Great decor and bar area.

first things first.. this is a 4 star french inspired hotel. the staff is extremely professional. they recently renovated (within the last 2 years) and it is beyond beautiful, it's breathtaking. the hotel is always clean. from the rooms to the garage to the business center, they pride themselves in service.
the restaurants and bakery and delicious. again, all french inspired. the gift shop isn't just a place to get postcards, you can find high end jewelry and cookies/candy. i once bought a gorgeous pair of earrings for $60.
the best is yet to come... if you've stayed in the rooms, you know that it's ridiculously comfortable. the beds are so cozy and the bedding is to die for. you can request for a catalog to order many of the products they carry in the hotel. i recommend purchasing the bedding for sure. the soaps are way too strong and rough on the skin.
the best time to visit the sofitel, aside from having or attending a wedding, is during the bastille celebrations (july). they have bands, buffets & many activities. mother's day brunch always sells out.

I had a trip to Redwood Shore last week, and stayed in the Sofitel Hotel. I liked it very much. There are several reasons that I like there. They are:
1. It has shuttles to and from the SFO air port and Oracle, which is really convenient.
2. It provides bottled water for me, which help me a lot--I always forget to buy water...
3. The bed there is really really comfortable. It's the best bed/pillow I've ever had. I want to buy the same bed myself!!!

This is the place I usually recommend to family when visiting. Some rooms are better than others, but over all of them are nice. Breakfast is great. Sometimes I go there just for breakfast.
