5 Stars: Best Pizza Ever (by Veronica C.)

I LOVE the pizza at Cheese Board. The cheeses are great, I usually love their topings and the crust is the best. I also like not having to decide on what to order. The jazz music gives the place a warm and soothing atmosphere.

5 Stars: Best Pizza in Berkeley (except for maybe Zachary's) (by Brandon K.)

Their pizza is awesome. It changes everyday and is always vegetarian.

Be prepared to wait. While the line moves quickly, there's always a line. There's seating, but it's almost always occupied. While illegal, the median on Shattuck offers some additional pizza eating space, but that too is oft crowded.

It's definitely worth it. A true Berkeley institution.

5 Stars: Excellent Thin-Crust Pizza (by Pamela P.)

The Cheese Board folks make one type of pizza (vegetarian only) every day with the freshest of ingredients. The crust is thin and delightfully crunchy. Don't let the long line scare you. It goes fast because they just make the one pizza flavor. Sometimes they have live music for you while you wait.

PROS: tasty, fresh, crunchy crust
CONS:

5 Stars: Unique pizza for all (by Chris C.)

Cheeseboard is a unique organization in itself. They do not havev multiple stores, they are not a chain and most of all they always have great pizza. All of their pizza is made fresh on the spot there and everyday they only make one type of pizza, I guarantee you though its good. Some people may say you can never eat enough, personally that dosen't go well for me, I can eat too much and get sick of it, but its pretty good.

5 Stars: Perhaps the best thing about Berkeley (by Matt S.)

Get this: the place only sells one kind of pizza at a time. And it's always a veggie pizza, no meat options. Parking is a royal pain. And they have the weirdest hours of all time -- open a net total of 4 hours a day, and closed on a weekday or two.

Makes ya wonder, "Are they that lazy or are they that good?"

They're that good.

This and Vic's are the best bangs for your buck in the East Bay. By far. Cheese Board has gourmet pizza, whatever they made that day, at $2 a slice, made from some of the finest cheese to be had. Walk up, order by telling them the number of slices you want, and drop a buck or two for the jazz combo on your way out.

5 Stars: mmmmm (by Kate P.)

One of the first things I do every time I come home to Berkeley is hit the cheese board. Their pizza is one of the things I miss most about the bay. . . cheap, gormet, and an excellent business to support, (one of the first collectives in Berkeley, and a shining example at that) the cheese board is universally highly recommended.

5 Stars: Cheeseboard Pizza Is Delicious (by Jay D.)

Cheeseboard pizza is delicious, the quality of their ingredients is top notch, and the service is impecable. They only take cash and checks though, so make sure you bring enough money as the pizza can be expensive. The prices are $18 for whole and $9 for half.

Their pizza is vegetarian, emphasizing the cheese. Each day, they only serve one type of pizza, so don't come here if you are picky.

Sometimes they also have Jazz.

PROS: Excellent pizza, great service
CONS: Cash only, can be expensive
