Great place to eat, just like the olden days when loggers sat down to eat. Food is great and the workers are fun. If your in the Eureka area this is a must stop
4This is a unique restaurant and a fun place to eat with family. It is great to see my kids enjoying the history that is evident at every table. The food is excellent and you get a ton for a great price.
5This is the last of the cookhouses from a true lumber camp. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinners--family style. Come hungry as there is lots to go around. There is even a musuem connected so you can get a history lesson of the logging industry too.
5Love this fun place.. Family style dinning. Good prices, lots of things to look at as this place has been here for over a hundred years. Food is home cooking at it's best. Too much food is the only bad thing. Need someone to carry you to the car...Lots of parking. Nice staff

Great, fun restaurant in a huge, Victorian structure with a museum. The map on their website is accurate:

The Maritime Museum next door is also well worth seeing.
5The Samoa Cookhouse has been around since the late 1800s. Originally it served as an eatery for lumberjacks who worked in the area. (At last visit, there was a sign outside that proclaims, Please leave your chainsaws at the door, as a reminder of their history.) This is quite possibly the most fantastic restaurant Ive ever had the pleasure of visiting. Everything is served in what I call family style. The food comes out in big bowls and plates so that you pass it around just as if you were at the family table. Seconds are definitely offered, so no one ever leaves hungry. There is a section with historical items, an area where you can buy gifts, and three meeting rooms. The Samoa Cookhouse is absolutely a spot that everyone should visit. The ambience is incredible, the staff is fantastic, and the food is even better.
