The first time I ate from this restauraunt I thought the food was excellent but I don't know if they have changed cooks or what because the last few orders that I have had have been not so great. Our office orders from them alot because forthe price you get a hefty size plate, but lately all I have really been eating is the soup (whichis excellent) & the rice. The best dish so far is the broccoli beef.
I've eaten here a couple of times, the first time I got the broccoli and beef, it was very "rich" and heavy, but I liked the flavor. The other times the food has been what I expected it to be, not superb but definitely tastey. What makes this place a standout is the awesome price, lunchtime you can get soup, eggroll, rice, and an entre for a little under $6! Definitely worth trying out.
In the name of full disclosure, I'll mention that I've only ever been to RICE for lunch. The food is great and inexpensive, with the average lunch going for around $6 (including soup and egg rolls). The quality is good and the service is fairly fast, although like most other LA Chinese restaurants, the English spoken is so-so. Probably a good thing!
Pros: Cheap, fast, easy for work lunches
Cons: Ambience is that of a normal little Chinese joint
