This facility is much more than a gym. Although, as a gym, it's about 3-floor's worth. The club is in an old LA building downtown, and due to its multiple ballrooms, often hosts meetings and events for a wide variety of organizations and individuals. There are lounges for members to schmooze or relax with food and drink. The women's locker room is enormous and includes a relaxation area, fruit infused water, a hot tub, steam and dry saunas, cold wet compresses, teas and coffees, a sitting area with a television, a gift shop with stuff you forgot to bring (sports bra) or stuff you decide you want, and many seats by the lighted mirror and shelving areas that you can beautify before you leave. You can schedule waxing and massages on-site also. There is a 6 lane indoor pool and a pool-side daily continental breakfast (and tables). There are separate yoga studios and bike classes. There's also an indoor state of the art basketball court. Don't forget about the indoor running track or the amazing personal training staff. The facility is never too crowded and attracts a sophisticated and affluent crowd. If you live or work nearby, schedule some time to take a tour. Oh, and there's also two floors on the top of the building of guest rooms for over-night visitors.
