I love the location over looking the marina- very romantic. And as would be expected, the seafood is fresh. Good for private parties too.

Food was fair but overpriced. The waitress was rude and pushy, did not refill drinks in a timely manner and acted like she didnt want to be there. I would not go there again.

I have been to this restaurant a few times for different occassions...bridal showers,Christmas parties etc...I think the food is over rated. It doesn't taste healthy and fresh. However, the ambience and service has always been great.Would I go back? Probabbly not.

We eat at Bluewater Grill on a regular basis. They always have a table waiting for us and the fist is wonderful. It's great to take a walk along the Harbor after the meal.

My husband and I have had many enjoyable dinners here. We have always had seating over looking the marina. The food is excellent and the service has always been great. If you don't want to eat, sitting in the lounge area by the fireplace with drinks works too. The special event room also has a fireplace and is very roomy. You won't miss out on the view here either.

This is my favorite Seafood restaurant. They have the freshest and healthiest selections. We go here for special occasions as well as for an everyday meal. They will even give you a free meal for your birthday if you sign up on their website. We had a private party there, and it was wonderful!

This has been my favorite restaurant for at least three years! Enjoy a view of sailboats in a panoramic view while beginning your meal with warm sourdough bread and either Manhattan or New England clam chowder. The choice of fresh fish, of course, varies. Try some clams, lobsters or the delicacy of the day. I really enjoy Tilapia, Trout or Alaskan King Salmon. So delicious, they melt in your mouth! If you check on their website, you can keep up with the specialities they offer.

I have gone to this restaurant fairly often because it is predictable. It is not world class, but the food is good, the prices are reasonable, the menu is varied, and it has a nice view of the harbor. The service has always been good, too.

I had the Mediterranean Ahi Salad which had a good amount of tuna in it, but otherwise was quite tasteless. Two others in the group enjoyed their salmon, but one said it was too undercooked on one side. Service was good.

My friend and I stumbled upon the sushi bar by accident when we were going to the bar to get a few drinks. AJ took great care of us. Good selection of rolls and the raw fish was fresh. He has "chalkboard" specials that are amazing. Since he's from Hawaii, I tried the Hawaiian style short ribs - yum! Good food and nice eye candy...what could be better?

For those who left negative reviews, I suggest you give Bluewater Grill another try. They have spruced up their look and menu. We were really impressed by their improvements. We sat in the newly remodeled area behind the bar, it was hip and romantic. We ordered the ponzu scallop appetizer to start off with, it is to die for, WOW! I highly recommend, it is that good. Are dinners were just as amazing, I had the Salmon Special and my husband the Ahi Special. After dinner we sat out on the patio around the firepit and had drinks, which I must say were made just right. You could actually taste the alcohol. It was a perfect ending to a wonderful dining experience. Great atmosphere, good service and a new found favorite date spot:) No wonder they were voted "Best Of Seafood"

My husband and I dine out about four times a week. Having fine food and wines is important to us. We go to the high end restaurants all around SoCal, but we also have our favorite places where there's no pretense, just passion about what is served from the kitchen. We dine a couple of times a week with friends, family and/or business associates just for fun and often Bluewater Grill is where we end up.

It's hard to beat a menu that's printed daily because the seafood comes in fresh every few hours. We continue to love hanging out at the seafood bar for really leisurely times punctuated with delicious shellfish and just sitting amidst the pleasing decor of the dining rooms and enjoying their fish from around the world at other times. We're well pleased with the kitchen's preparations and the service always has been up to par and friendly for us.

I would recommend Bluewater to anyone who appreciates freshness and quality.

Overall great seafood and menu for everyone and kid friendly. We regularly entertain clients, our family and have even hosted a rehearsal dinner at Bluewater and it is always a crowd pleaser. The management is so helpful to tailor each experience to the occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We always used to just go out to the cheesecake factory, until we happened upon the bluewater. The hostesses at cheesecake quoted us a 60 minute wait, so we decided to try next door instead. We lucked out! The view at this place is incredible- make sure to ask for a table up front, so you can watch the sunset- or even spy on the people who live on their boats! I've been craving their grilled spiny lobster like mad... I need to find out when it comes back in season. This place is a little-known gem.

I used to go on a monthly basis a few years ago, but now find that I am just not interested. The views are great for sure. The staff is professional and the food is often flavorful and well-prepared. It just seems so dull...

I decided to go back last week to see how things have changed. They haven't. This is probably the place you would go to bring out-of-towners when you do not want to be seen out by your local friends.

We went to this place when it first opened. It was good. As time has passed, this place has deteriorated into a place I would not return to. On our last 2 visits here is the deal:
The beer battered fish and chips have lost ALL of their unique flavor. Actually, they've lost ALL their flavor, period The scallops were as tough as rubber. The panko shrimp was very heavy and flavorless. The Salmon was dry and tough. The only thing worth eating is the bread, the garden salad and the Lamb, which is now WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!
This place makes me really appriciate Black Angus a lot more than I used to. I will never go back to this place.

This restaurant used to be good. I have eaten many dishes and they all tasted boring and lousy. I don't like to waste food so I always take leftovers home. But I did not want to at this restaurants. The only thing that is good is the steamed clams. The oyster bar is nothing to brave about. The service was horrible the night I was there last. I had to ask my server a few times for the same item, and never got it. I had to get someone else. Service was so slow.

This place leaves much to be desired. I went here with my family and what assaults you first is the tsunami of cheesy music, circa 1984, blaring from the speakers. I'm not kidding when I say "Thriller" was on the playlist. We were seated at one of the tables next to the marina, which would have afforded a nice view had it not been for the sun's glare burning holes in the retinas of the two people facing the windows. Even with the sunshades down, the glare was blinding and squinting through your meal is not a "spectacular view". We ordered some calamari, which was obviously overcooked and rubbery. One of us ordered the grilled king salmon, which at first glance appeared dry and crumbly, only to be further insulted by the very real possibility that it had been previously frozen, given its chewiness and lack of flavor. It was terrible! The other ordered the tilapia special, which came grossly undercooked. The sea bass special that I had ordered was the best of the table, in that the fish was cooked perfectly. However, this was a fleeting virtue as it was covered in a hollondaise so thick I had to wonder what they were trying to hide. When we told the waitress of our dissatisfaction, she was quick to defend the honor of the chef, but upon inspection of the salmon, could not disagree that it was dry. She remedied the situation by taking it off the bill, which was kind. The point is this, if you have a restaurant that specializes in one kind of food, then do it well. This is not that kind of place. It is a marina bar/fish and chips/might as well have karoke joint that is masquerading as a serious (and pricey!) seafood restaurant. Good, fresh, quality seafood needs minimal preparation. Bluewater Grill might as well be serving Van De Kamps with tartar sauce. What a rip-off!

We walked in - two women on a 'girls' night out' & were immediately shown one of the two worst tables in the place. When we refused it we were told the wait would be 30 minutes. Service for unescorted women - poor and condescending; coconut shrimp appetizer was more like a sweet seafood macaroon;Caesar salad (isn't that romaine??) looked and tasted like sliced iceburg and had an insipid watery Caesar dressing;sauteed spinach needed blotting - the oil filled the entire plate (thank goodness the lobster tail was on top of its shell!);the waiter left the wine bottle on the table, no cooler,no wine bucket and limited attention for refills; Key lime pie was like cheesecake. Who did they pay for their high ratings?

This is not only a beautiful marina, ocean front restaurant on the restaurant row of Redondo Beach, but the food is excellent and the prices of food and wine are a good value. My daughter graduated from Cornell University, Hotel School and the Cordon Bleu in Paris, France so we have been subjected to great food experiences. This restaurant is highly recommended...enjoy and check out the happy hour

Redondo Beach location serves up classic seafood specialties in a romantic setting on the water. Must-try house dishes include the live main lobster, oysters on the half shell, Fijian ahi, and other daily fish specials.

Excellent lobster, crab cakes and clam chowder. Request a seat near the window--or in the raw bar--overlooking the boats in the marina, and you'll almost feel like you're Nantucket (palm trees excluded!). One of L.A.'s best seafood restaurants.

This restaurant was a great pick. The food was great, and VERY FRESH, although a little more expensive than I expected. The service was average, not spectacular.

They did take quite some time to serve our appetizers, and there were a LOT of crumbs on the floor, but I wouldn't let this stop me from going back.
