Pilates Westwood is a fully equipped studio with professional grade equipment including 4 reformers, a Cadillac, Barrels, 2 Wunda Chairs, a Massage Room and a Gyrotonic Tower. The layout is spacious and encourages active movement. The most important factor for your success is a great instructor. Pilates Westwood is home to certified teachers who have at least five years teaching experience and are passionate about helping you achieve your goals. Pilates is great for athletes, stressed out computer users, or elderly people with balance concerns. Pilates is a highly adjustable system in which the equipment and exercises are easily modified to fit your body. Pilates is a simple yet highly effective method to simultaneously strengthen and stretch, resulting in balanced posture.
Pilates Westwood has changed my life. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by several friendly teachers, I have had a consistently amazing experience. The space is great-very large, wonderful equipment , and most importantly knowledgeable and compassionate teachers. I have worked with a few and would recommend any of them. Definitely the best thing I have ever done for my body!
Pros: large space, wonderful teachers and equipment

I just moved to Los Angeles from Chicago in October. I have been doing Pilates for 2 years and looking for a studio to continue my sessions. I found Pilates Westwood and a teacher named Daniela who teaches "classical Pilates". My workouts are intense and fun without putting any stress on my joints especially my low back. I have a herniated disc at L4-L5 and have found Pilates has made me strong enough to not have pain in my back. The key, I am told, is making the low deep abdominals strong. Whatever it does it works! My physical therapist is truly impressed with my progress and also plans to take a session at the studio. Try this!!!

The best thing about Pilates Westwood besides the talented teachers, wonderful studio, and perfect location is their uniquely suited packages that will fit your personal fitness goals and budget. Most of the teachers have been teaching for 5-10+ years and you definitely feel the difference compared to other studio in West Los Angeles. They also train in the Gryotonic Expansion method which is very well matched with Pilates. They will work with you on prices and introductory packages. Mat Classes and Reformer classes are also available. I am happy that I found this studio. I work with Abey and she is great!

I recently took a Pilates Mat class at Pilates Westwood, from Lesley Logan. She truly is the most passionate, knowledgeable and professional instructor I've ever worked with. I've had a lot of fitness trainers, because I can get bored or loose focus. Lesley's voice tone keeps me completely focused. Lesley is the perfect balance of strength, and kindness. She cares enough to tell you like it is, but totally and completely professional. With knowledge comes strength and Lesley obviously has the knowledge and has been trained and certified by the best of the best! I felt a connection with her the minute I walked in the Mat class! I look forward to going to her classes again and I am so glad to finally find a teacher that keeps me engaged in what I am doing. Her passion for pilates is contagious!
Pros: Highly Professional Pilates Mat Instructor!
Cons: none

No matter what you are looking for: Pilates, Rehabilitation, Gyrotonic, functional fitness exercises, massage or stretching classes this studio has it all! I have been going to Pilates Westwood for about 1 year. I am very happy with the results it has produced. I can finally wear sleeveless shirts again! The teachers are extremely skilled, friendly and professional - YOU WILL NOT FIND ANY DIVAS HERE! I have recommended the studio to some of my friends and they are equally impressed.
Pros: Studio, teachers
Cons: Parking

I found this studio as a college student at UCLA and couldn't believe the deal they give you for your first session! I was instantly hooked. Pilates is not like anything I have ever tried and I can't explain why it feels so good but I think it is because it is super challenging but fun at the same time! I am officially addicted. This space is in a great location right near school in the heart of Westwood and everyone who works there is nice. I think my only complaint is that I can only afford to come once a week-otherwise I would be in every day!!!!
Pros: location, people, workout

Let me start by saying that as a man, I was a bit skeptical and slightly embarrassed to be trying out Pilates but I have been struggling with back trouble for awhile and I was told pilates would be the best thing for it. Well, six months later, I am pleasantly surprised that not only did my back pain go away, but I think I may be in the best shape of my life! My teacher, Lana, worked me to the core-literally! It has given me my six pack back. So all you guys out there-take the leap, it's worth it!
Pros: awesome work out

Finding good Pilates' Mat and Reformer Classes in West Los Angeles is often a challenging task. However, at Pilates Westwood you will find the perfect class and / or private, semi-private session. I take a weekly private session with Anna Lisa who is certified in Pilates and the Gyrotonic Expansion System and also the Monday night mat class. In January, I will be taking the Reformer class on Sunday mornings. Overall, I feel
Stronger and more flexible with Pilates than any other type of exercise system I have done in the past. The prices, especially for the classes, are affordable and well worth the money.

Pilates Westwood is great! The staff is friendly and professional, the studio large and they have plenty of equipment. They offer mat classes on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 pm and reformer classes on Sunday mornings. My husband and I both take the mat class and a private session each week. We have seen results and my husband swears that Pilates has saved him from back pain. I have learned that Pilates is not only a workout but a system that emphasizes balance. Do yourself a favor and try their introductory session which is only $40.
Pros: location, staff and equipment

In 2006, I injured my lower back when I fell from a ladder doing work at my house. I spent 3 weeks in bed and was then told by my Orthopedic Surgeon that I would not be a good candidate for disc surgery and that I should rest and then get involved with core strengthening exercise specifically "Pilates." I had also thought Pilates was a dancer oriented type of workout and was skeptical of trying it out. I finally decided to follow a friends referral and called Pilates Westwood where I started training with the owner of the studio ..Julie two months ago. She is an amazing teacher, consummate professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. After the first few workouts, I was taught how to "engage" or tighten my stomach muscles, which improved my posture and more importantly lessened my back pain dramatically. I can't tell you how much this method and studio have helped me regain my strength and get me out of pain. Do yourself a huge favor and call - they will work with you on times, days and prices!!!!
Pros: Julie, atmosphere, location, the other trainers and top notch professional environment !!!!!!
Cons: I wish I could take session every day

The studio, Pilates Westwood, was a find for me as I was walking down the street going to lunch on Westwood Blvd. because I work on Wilshire around the corner. I found the actual studio to be well-run, clean, professional and fun. The private lesson I took from Daniella was so great! I bought a 10 pack and am half way through my series. I feel stronger and taller and am excited to keep up with this new way to work out. Best of all, it has helped my lower back and neck pain. My golf game is improving and I credit Pilates.......
Pros: Great equipment, friendly and knowledgable instructors. Flexible hours for after work too.

I was driving down Westwood Blvd and I saw this great studio. I called and they gave me a private session and an amazing price!! After working with a really great instructor (Julie) I was paired up with another girl and now every week I will be doing semi-private with another awesome instructor, Daniela...all of the instructors there seem amazing and the atmosphere is really great, I look forward to my pilates workout every week! One of the girls just told me about the new mat class they started on Wednesday nights at 8pm and I am looking forward to adding in another pilates workout! Definitly something you want to check out...see ya there!

My girlfriends and I had been having a hard time finding fitness classes that are at times when we are all off work...its really strange how most classes even at gyms are during the day...who has that kind of time? I had just started pilates at Pilates Westwood and found it almost addicting I am getting the workout I always wanted and at the studio the times are really flexible and the instructors are so amazing, they are always finding new ways to change up the workout. The other day I was at the studio and they announced a new mat class on Wednesday nights! My friends and I were so excited. The class is actually at a time most people can go to! Its at 8pm so after we get off work and drive through LA traffic we get to end the night with a fun pilates workout before we head home. Its really a nice way to break up the week!
So grab your friends and check it out!
Pros: Great prices for privates and the class
Cons: only one mat class a week

Pilates Westwood was recommended to me by the place I took Pilates at in DC (Balence Studio). Pilates Westwood teaches the same type of Pilates I had been learning before (Power Pilates)at home. I was kind of scared - convinced Pilates in LA would be way harder and different than Pilates in DC. Julie (who I met with the first time), was super accommodating and nice. Before long I was right at home. I didn't want to do private lessons, so she set me up with semi private lessons with Abey who makes me and my classmate work so hard I sometimes want to cry. The only downside is parking, but thus far I have had no problem finding some on the street in the neighborhood!
Pros: So hard it hurts to laugh after class, semi private classes
Cons: parking - but what else is new?
