This is the Filippi's I go to b/c it's by my house. Pizza is good, pasta is decent and salads are okay. This particular location does not have the charm that the one in Little Italy has, especially with the true Italian deli store front that the India Street location has. Also, the quality is not quite as good. That being said, if you are looking for a good family-style Italian restaurant in Mission Valley, I would give it a try.

Filippi's food is nothing spactacular, but works. I went with a group of people and it was busy. They jammed us into a corner and we were in the way of people walking by because they had to add extra chairs, so it was somewhat annoying. It probably would be an OK place to go when they're not so busy.

We went for dinner with a group of friends and none of us were very impressed. It was a busy Friday night so we made reservation ahead of time. The staff was friendly, our table was ready, and they didn't mind splitting up the checks. Our food was okay and I noticed lots of us using the salt/pepper and the hot peppers to add flavor to our cuisines. We definitely had enough to eat but I wouldn't recommend this specific Filippi's to anyone.

Filippis is a San Diego favorite. They have a variety of pizzas and other Italian specialties. The anti pasta salad is really good and very filling. The portions are generous.
