If you blink your eyes on a weekday while driving down highway 101 in Encinitas California you could possibly pass right by one of my favorite restaurants, which would be a shame. However, it is almost impossible to miss A Little Moore Coffee Shop on a weekend because you can see the customers lining the outdoor eating area from half a mile away. You see A Little Moore Coffee Shop in Encinitas is a lot more than just coffee to locals and tourists alike, it is breakfast nirvana.

It didnt take me long after I relocated to Encinitas to find possibly the best breakfast place in town to go too. Located on the pulse of Encinitas, Historic Route 101, A Little Moore serves up your typical breakfast or lunch specialties in a very atypical manner, fast and friendly. The owner and or his wife are almost always there to greet you with a smile when you arrive and the staff is unbelievably friendly, calling most of the locals by their first names whenever possible.

The menu is first rate, offering you many of your traditional breakfast items with a few house specialties thrown in for your added dining pleasure. My personal favorites include their homemade chili over a cheese omelette, the chicken teriyaki and eggs, or occasionally just plain old bacon and eggs served with a smile. All of the meals include your choice of several additions, cottage cheese, hash browns, choice of toast, etc. If you get the chance to eat here though I highly recommend you getting the home fries. In a word, Mmmm!

On sunny weekend days the outside eating area overflows with people eating that watch Harleys and bicycle riders stream by on 101 with sounds of thunder and brightly colored riding jerseys all day long creating quite a spectacle for customers to enjoy. With so many menu choices and eye candy inside and out to enjoy, A Little Moore Coffee Shop is a fantastic place to visit anytime you are in the area and a place that I frequent at least two to three times a week.

I highly recommend A Littl

PROS: Great food with great service
CONS: Maybe a bit too quiet for some tastes
