Short story:
=========

STAY AWAY from this shop. DO NOT even give it a try. Period.

Why? Because they just broke our car (MINI cooper) during oil change and denied it's their fault.

Dishonest.
No apology.
No compensation.
Just quibble.

After the oil change, they even forgot to reset service minder and took our car manual without putting it back.

This shop is by far the worst one I've ever experienced in Bay area. I'd give them 0 star if I could.

STAY AWAY from this shop! DO NOT waste your time and money on this shop, if you do not want to break your car.

Long story:
=========

We went to this shop for regular oil change because of its high ratings on Yelp. We drop our car last Wed noon and asked for oil change.

Han, the owner of the shop, promised the oil change could be done in an hour and would give us a call when finished.

Till 4pm or 5pm, no call. We called back. Han said yet worked on the car, gave him more time and he'd call back.

Another hour or so passed, no call. We called back. He said the oil change was done, you could pick your car.

Very nice, not even gave customers a call when service was done and it took the entire afternoon, not 1 hour. What kind of LAME service it is!

When we picked up our car, Han said the engine may not start smoothly. What the heck?! Just simple oil change and you broke our car?

When we started the car, the engine's sound was weird and the meter surged (jump up and down) when idle.

All problems happened RIGHT AFTER the oil change.

He said he has seen other MINI having the same problem before, after oil change.

Yes, that means they broke other MINI before.

He asked us to bring the car back tomorrow for him to further check.

They also forgot to reset service minder and took our car manual without putting it back.

Next day, we drop the car in the morning. 2 hours passed, again, no call, as expected.

We called back. He then started to do the computer diagnosis. And told us result showed nothing was wrong.

But the truth is, all problems happened right after the oil change.

He said: "I DON'T know the problem. It's just simple oil change, we DID NOT touch anything. You know, I even changed oil for lamborghini and other expensive cars, no problem at all."

So what?

For such simple oil change, you already broke our car, even forgot to reset service minder and just took our car manual without returning it.

Han just denied it's their fault. No apology. Just quibble.

We gave up wasting time on him and brought our car to MINI dealer on steven creeks blvd on the next day.

The service department told us it was oil cap not installed correctly (during oil change) so cause the engine's problem.

Well well, well. It's indeed Han's shop broke our car.

I called Han this afternoon and said we have the dealer's report showing it's your fault.

Han said thank you for letting us know, we'd report in our internal meeting, blahblah, then we know how to fix for next MINI.

Dishonest.
No compensation.
No apology.
Just quibble.

I even needed to mention I got the report showing it's your shop broke our car at least 3 times then he realized he needs to apologize.

So pathetic. So arrogant.

DO NOT waste your time and money on this shop, go elsewher

I got a reasonable quote from Han's Auto and they gave me good advise on how to maintain my car. The mechanics there are well trained and always willing to help. Prices are competitive.

This repair shop was very helpful in diagnosing my car trouble.
They were honest and didnt try to oversell any repair work. The prices are competative with other repair shops
