I wish I could give them more stars. Both vets are compassionate, extremely knowledgeable, practicle, friendly, empathetic, and have great bedside manners.

I had taken my baby boy cat to Cheshire Cat Clinic since 2002 and I have always received the gold standard of care for him and excellent service.

I did something very difficult at the beginning of the year. I had to say "Goodbye" to my baby boy cat who had end stage renal failure at the beginning of this year 2010. The vet knew my baby and knew that he was in pain and suffering. He explained the entire process of what was going to happen with compassion. He handled my baby so well and made him very comfortable.

He gave me time with my baby, as much as I wanted, while he was sedated to say "Goodbye." When it was time he did what he had to do and allowed me private time with the body of my baby so I could say a proper "farewell." It was so very respectful and it felt so peaceful.

I did not hesitate to bring my two newest adoptees (a boy and a girl cat) to them for their first check up. It turns out one of them (the girl) had ringworm. I was sent home with a cream to treat the one spot she had. Well after a few weeks, she was clean, now he has it.

They prescribed a drug that they both could take to eliminate the ringworm. They knew that I was operating on limited funds. The vet and her assistant called numerous pharmacies on my behalf in order to get the proper dosage at the best price with the most convenience. They even worked with it over a weekend!!!

It was easy to deal with the pharmacy that they found for me and the medicine was 70% CHEAPER than their original estimate. How often have you heard that about a vet's estimate? That was much appreciated and it was DELIVERED to my house.

It's easy to use and the cats are taking it two times per day with minimal fuss.

I hope that this will do the trick. I'm confident that it will since I trust this vet completely.

The staff and the doctors are all amazing people. I cannot say enough to praise this place.

I have been going to Cheshire for the past 20+ years. My original cat lived 17 healthy years under their care and my present cat thrives with their loving attention. They are thorough, compassionate and explain all tests, details and options. I've always been able to get an appt and when my cat has been sick, they have seen her on the spot and were ready for her when I came in the door. I was leary once Dr. Udahl (sp) left the practice, but there has been no decrease in level of service, knowledge or expertise. They truly love and care for cats. Little Ms. Oprah's mom.

I've been taking my two cats here for three years and have had great service. Dr. Fong called me at home w/ test results as soon as they were in, explained treatments options and gave her recommendation on which treatment made the most sense for my cat. She has great "bedside manner" w/ my cats and is an obvious cat lover. Folks at the counter are also usually pleasant and efficient. It's great to go to a place w/out dogs--much less stressful for my cats. Only downside, odd hours (but can go on Saturdays) and you need to ask for itemized bill to see exactly what everything cost.

We have taken our cats here for the past 18--19 years at least (goes back to when Marty, the original owner, was starting out.)The present owner, Mark Youdall, is perfect: genuinely cares about cats, handles them with ease and expertise, and does not pressure heroic efforts when they might please the owner, but would be at the expense of the cat's quality of life. This clinic has teated : Phoebe, whose left jaw was shattered when she was 8; Rachel, who in old age had kidney failure; Felony, who had asthma, and most recently (past 9 yearsHal. .Phoebe live happily for 7 years after her facial surgery and Rachel, with hydration, lived an active, contented life for three and a half years after her diagnosis with kidney failure. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Wish there were a place equally fine for dogs.

PROS: compassion for the animal first; no heroices just to please the people
CONS: sometimes hard to get an appointment
