Enchante Nails

I have just started looking for Nail salons in this area. At my old salon I had a manicure and pedicure every month. I chose this salon based on a review that sounded great. I called a week ago and told the person answering the phone what I needed done, she placed a manicurist on the phone and based on her availability and mine, my appointment was made for 5/10/07 at 5pm ( I needed the service before 5/11/07). I gave her my contact phone #. I work in LA so had to leave work early to make my appointment. At 4:55pm I was within a few blocks of the salon so called to let them know I was on my way. It was at that time I was told that the manicurist had called off sick and that the salon had "tried" to contact me but the girl had written down an incorrect #. They made no effort to accommodate me. When I spoke to the owner she stated that all of the other girls working were booked and could not fit me in. She was not at all sorry that I had been inconvenienced. She stated "What do you expect me to do, misplace another customer who has an appointment just so you can have you manicure and pedicure?" I said I had an appointment too and it does not seem to concern you at all that this is the impression a first time customer is going to be left with. They had known all day that I could not be reached and that I was scheduled. The owner should have moved customers around so that she could have worked me in. Had I arrived and been told that the girl had called in sick but they were going to work me in, could I wait some, I would have been happy to do so. I had an appointment for a week and then did not receive the service. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

this place is wonderful. It is intimate but wow it is wonderful. the prices are high but simply because it is a great place that does a great job. I like this place because they only chage 25.00 for a spa mani and pedi, and also they to a fantastic job when it comes to hair cuts and color and highlights. They are popular for there highlights and for shoulder length hair they charge 90.00 but you feel like a star when you walk out.
