The service call was from October 2003, FIVE years ago. We went out on a service request from the Management Company to investigate the source of the water creating property damage onto the common area ceiling below. The protocol is to report our findings to the party requesting the work order; in this case it was the Mgmt Co. After running a series of non-intrusive tests, we determined the problem was a homeowner related issue not the HOA. At which point, we advise the Management Co who in turn advises the homeowner that the water damage that is occurring in the common area is her responsibility to address. The homeowner could then hire a vendor to continue with the investigation and propose a solution. And Yes, we elected to not work for her given she threatened to include us in a claim against the HOA and the Management Company after we denied her request to zero out the invoice of $55. With respect to us, she would claim the invoice was fraudulent on the basis that we never showed up. She said she had never seen Michael in her life, we can not prove that we were there; it was going to be her word against ours. Re: License numbers, the Management has all the necessary documentation that is available to all homeowners. In addition we are listed on the Contractors State License Board website for Consumer Review. Fortunately, in our 8 years of business this is an isolated event. We hope that she has found a comprehensive vendor to resolve her plumbing needs and prevent further property damage in her unit and onto the common area.

Or three times before you hire this plumber. I had the privilege (or not) of Michel Meyer coming to my condo (not requested by me, but by the property management company) twice in the past five years. On the first occasion, I received his work order in the mail (not from his company, but from the property management company) which was not only NOT signed by me, it did not include his license or bond numbers. The work order/invoice stated that "upon his investigation water showed from the tub and shower trim and or tub/tile joint to plumbing fixture side of tub." HUH? Needless to say, no work was performed, and no solution was given to rectify the problem, however, he did not hesitate to charge the property management company for the "investigation" which showed up on my HOA dues statement and remains there to this day. His "findings" were inconclusive as to the problem, and the wording on his work order/invoice was nonsensical and vague. The second time he was ordered to my unit (same problem, five years later), he flat out told me he was not interested in doing any work for me. (Way to build referrals.) I would not trust this plumber with your plumbing problems, simply because he has a hard time finding solutions regarding them, which would definitely make me wonder how he would go about repairing them. Furthermore, he has no problem charging you for nothing.
