i absolutely love it at Islands and the burgers are delicious! you can go there for any occasion and the service is nice. Also this is a good location area because it's inside paseo and it's close to shops and the theaters so afterwards you can walk off the yummmy stuff!

Very kid friendly enviroment! Waiter was very nice. The wait for our food was about 30 minutes which was long, especially when you have kids. The food was good. We were seated right away, it was somewhat busy (we went on a Sunday evening). The waiter came by and asked my husband if he wanted a refill on his drink (when we were done with our dinner) and he said yes, at that time I asked for dessert and the bill, I didn't want to wait long again, all we ordered for dessert was ice cream for the kids and it still took long! When the waiter returned he brought everything but the the refill on the drink. My husband reminded him about the soda and when he brought it back there was stuff floating in the cup. Although it was kid friendly I doubt we will go back....the food was too long to have waited for.

Islands has a great selection of food items on the menu, even for picky eaters. The fish tacos are great and the fries are fantastic! Busy and loud but fun place!

People that work there do great service. The people that serve you food always gets you food on time and don't take very long. it doesn't take long to be seated. they make excellent food. its the great place to have a family dinner. workers are not impatient when it comes to customers that order at the last minute!! anyways as i was saying Islands is a great place to eat at!!

Wonderful place to chill out with friends. The burgers there are decent for the price. Place might be a bit too dark, if you like to eat in the dark. Overall, its a good place to eat some meaty burgers.

This place has an awesome atmosphere. The wait time was rather long, but our server made up for it tremendously. She was extremely helpful and very friendly. The cheese fries were great and my burger was one of the juiciest I've tasted.

Islands is like a burger place above McDonalds. It has a little more class. They have other stuff besides burgers and fries. Good good and nice staff. Food takes a little bit some times. Sometimes the wait can be long too.

the food here is great and the atmosphere is tropical. But the only problem i have is not only with this particular Islands but every Islands ive been to. The waitress brings you your food, fine but their in so much of a rush to get you out of their and have the next customer go in its ridiculous, its not a nice place to sit down and enjoy a long meal without feeling like your being forced out.

Great sit-down place to get a good burger and amazing fries. Their portions are more than reasonable and their prices are not bad. I'm not too sure how good their service is because I know someone that works there so I get great service, but I have my doubts if I didn't know someone on the "inside".

Islands is a wonderful place to go to with your family. They have something for everyone and their kids menu, is first rate. If it's a burger you're craving, you won't find a better burger and they will fix it any way you want. If beef isn't what youwant, then try one of their many chicken dishes. They have a low carb section on their menu and it is wonderful. Their portions are huge and many times I have to take part of my meal home. Islands is also a great place to go for a date as they have agreat bar and awesome Mai Tais.

I don't understand people's fixation with Islands. The serve burgers, people. I always find it tragic when folks dine out in an area like Pasadena and go to a (in my humble opinion) a lousy chain restaurant (Panda Express excluded, or course). I don't think the food is good at all. It's probably frozen, and is nothing special. I think folks should get more adventuresome and limit their ventures to Islands to once every other year or so.

Islands is a great group restaurant. They offer a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The heavy tropical decor adds a lot to the establishment's atmosphere and overall feel. The waiters are attentive and friendly. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night expect a wait, especially if you have a party larger than four.

Ok... so I'm an East Coast-er, so maybe that's why I don't understand the Islands obsession. I think the food is pretty good, but I think it's over-priced. The decor is decent, but not mind-blowing. The service is usually pretty good. I would give it a satisfactory rating, but I haven't exactly been blown away by my Islands experiences.

This is a great restaurant that all my friends love to eat at. The food is good and decently priced. The menu includes yummy hamburgers, salads, chicken sandwiches and tacos, along with some appetizers and kids meals. The fries are also a great addition to the meal. It's a noisy fun place, so not somewhere where you'd take a date or go for quiet. It's also fun to go for happy hour and get appetizers and drinks.

This place is not bad for burgers, and the like. The fries are great with the special seasoning they add, and the passion fruit iced tea is tasty. Stay away from the nachos though- they're wayyyyyy too greasy.

I would also advise staying away fromthe Paseo location, as I've seen staff use the restroom without washing their hands afterward.

Great place for burges and a relaxed environment. This surf inspired resturant has a great and friendly staff and great North Shore tacos and fries. A great placve for parties for all occasions.

This Islands was great about 10 years ago.. but so were alot of things, but since we arent talking about how K*Roq got lame, then lets talk about the food. Islands seems to have hired chefs with no tastebuds, cause the burgers are'nt tasty anymore,.. they are bland and the salsa or guacamole barely does anything to spice it up... the fries were hard, the soda's were flat... I had to ask the people I was there with if they were experiencing the same thing or if my taste buds had suddenly decided to go on vacation but they agreed.... we all left sad and wishing we were in the 90's still.

I was able to tolerate this Islands for a while...but the chicken strips were bland and tasteless, the taquitos were down right GREASY. The fires are greasy as all heck. I thought it was just islands in general, but it's just not true. The one in Glendale is SO much better. And the bartenders are super friendly and really good. The one on Foothill is just plain ol nasty, with really really slow service. And of all the times I've frequented the place, never was I once seated promptly. If you feel like islands, but want better food, drinks and service, go to the one in Glendale.
