Although I love the warm pool, it is becoming way too crowded, even in off hours. The staff is nice and helpful. But for the amount of people who go there, the facility cannot accommodate that many. It becomes competitive to have enough space. Also, I think they could do a much better job of cleaning the showers and locker rooms than they do now.

This is a nice place if you love swimming, playing tennis or basketball and a lot of other things. They offer all kinds of classes and there is something to meet everyone needs. They also offer some kids classes too. The service is fine, but since the prices are competitive, the place is always too crowded.

This palce has 2 indoor pools, so if swimming is your thing this is good. One pool though is kept very warm. The exercise equipment room is VERY crowded--they could use another room. They have a full size basketball court and have some league play as well as open time--call to check when it is open.

The Palo Alto Family YMCA, on Ross Road, has great facilities, good classes, and a helpful staff. Included are a full basketball gym, swimming pools, sizeable locker rooms, a fitness center, and multiple child-care options. The fitness center is well-equipped, but perhaps a little small for the amount of equipment and size of the membership. The overall facility and programs are particularly appealing if you have schedule flexibility and can use them during off-peak hours. The membership has grown dramatically, leading to significant overcrowding during early morning, evening, and weekend hours. The residential neighborhood location leads to restricted operating hours, particularly in the mornings and late evenings.
