Hands down, THE best vet in the sacramento area. Both the vet and the staff are very friendly and accomidating. We have taken our pets here for everything from routine shots and check-ups to spaying, having cists removed and utlrasounds (we have dogs and a cat). We tried another vet that was closer to home this past week but ended up going back to foothill farms for a second opinion. Knowledgable compasionate service and the prices are very reasonable.
My kitten was sneezing for about 2 days. So i decided to take him to the vet.
I went before to a VCA clinic (way over price) so I looked for something cheaper this time. I founded this clinic and decided to give it a try.
I was surprise for how clean this place was. The staff was helpful with my questions and the Doctor Malek answered ALL my questions, he even encouraged me to ask more questions about my kitten's health.
He was really helpful and gave him the medicine that he need it (nothing more, nothing less), explain really good how to give this medicine to my kitty and gave me a couple of advices in other things.
I had a great experience here, great prices, totally recommended!!
Love this place, my cockapoo was roughed up by a groomer and was very nervous about getting groomed. So much so that she would nip at the different groomers we took her to. She did not do that at this facility. The vet and fgroomers are wonderful and my dog is very happy here.
I use to have a cat and I had taken him in to see the vet. The doctor was great gave him treats, made sure he wasn't so scared when he go his shoots. So when I got my Dog Butters I knew I had to bring him there. Butters was an abused dog. He had chemical burns on him when i saved him from his last owner, he was always sad and scared. but when my dog went to foothill farms vet you could tell he was happy, the doctor and everyone gave him attention and played with him. Butters loved that. My dog is all better and i cant get him to stay still from playing all the time. The doctor knows what meds to give to heal your pets even if it's just love.
We've been taking our dogs and cats to Dr. Mark Maleck for over 10 years. He is wonderful, gets us in on a moments notice, really seems to care for our pets well being. He goes above and beyond, gave us his home phone number when we had a really sick pet. He returns my calls when I leave messages. The prices are very reasonable. He gets on the floor with my big dog who is afraid to be put on the table. He lets me get refills for common meds without bringing my pet in again. His staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Maleck is very experienced and knowledable, he diagnosed a med toxicity in my dog on observation alone.
I wouldn't recommend the other vet in the office though, Dr. Andrew (something). He is young and I feel inexperienced. I brought my very sick cat to him once and I felt he misdiagnosed him. I don't even know if he's still working there though.
We moved out of state and we greatly miss Dr. Maleck and his wonderful staff.
We had Knee surgery done to our Rottweiller there and repeatatly brought her back for checkups , "Free" people been friendly to us , even over the phone , Me and the wife or going to on vacation and Borde her at the Vet.
PROS: open on weekend
CONS: not much grassy area
Never take your animals here! This place sucks.....I could never determine if the vet like animals or not. My Pug broke his leg when he was a puppy and this place gave no advice on what I should do take proper care of his wounds. Not to mention that they charged me and arm and leg for the surgy, which was substandard. As new pet owners, we were left to figure out how to best tend to our dog's injury. Also the vet offered no advice, instead we had to think of all the right questions to ask. They are terrible! Oh I almost forgot to mention that everytime I visted the vet's hands were flithy!!! He has dirt or something embedded in his nails.
PROS: No pros
CONS: Terrible follow-ups, unfriendly staff, dirty vet and clinic.
