Pleasant but Needs Professional Expertise

by E. N. G.

Had breakfast with a friend at a sidewalk table. Pleasant enough, but the place was not well painted or appointed. I won't say tacky, but . . . The adequate menu would be more reasonably priced if some fruit or herb garnish had been served with our scrambled egg crpe and burrito. Friendly service, but the entrees were unimaginative and the coffee a bit weak. Eggs--heavy, rubbery; crpe--large but heavy and blah. My friend had to ask for jelly for his barely toasted toast. Water came in a blue plastic bathroon cup, lacking only a toothbrush. At least we had metal utensils and real plates. The pastry looked OK, but the proprietors should visit a few coffee-house-and-breakfast spots, or just go across the street to the overpriced Starbucks to see where to start, then invest a thousand bucks to fix up and perk up the place. Sorry.

Support Local Coffee Stores!

by Pamela R.

I live up the hill from Jitters, I think the atmosphere is great. I bring my kids there for breakfast and the food is great. They are kid-friendly, have great coffee (unlike their big-name competitor), easy to walk to from home, and best of all I feel great about supporting a local business! Places like this are what make our community unique from everywhere else...thank you!

Much improved from the last owners

by Matthew L.

Stopped by Jitter's and it was under new ownership. Crepe with strawberries and whip cream was good. They serve Calabria coffe and Sochi tea (great coffee roaster off of 30th and University).

Plan to go back especially since it's the closest coffe shop to my house I'm aware of that serves Calabria coffee and Sochi Tea.

If you think there coffee is good try Caffe Calibria http://www.caffecalabria.com.

GREAT COFFEE AND FRIENDS

by Debbie H.

Jitters has the best French Roast coffee. We actually buy it to grind and drink at home. The staff is very friendly and always smiling. Keep the coffee brewing.

they make a good cuppa!

by Lucy P. | insider Insider | Rank: 17,876

I like Jitters, they serve a good cup of coffee. The actual cafe itself is a little lacking in atmosphere, hence the four star review, but they do delicious food and coffees. They have quite a large menu, and I highly recommend their sandwiches.

Fabulous!

by Denise S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,543

Jitters Coffee Shop is a coffee experience unlike any other. Fabulous coffees abound at Jitters, and you're sure to find something you can enjoy. They even have select products for sale, making your day that much more enjoyable. Sample a fine selection of coffee from locations around the world (if you're a fan of dark coffee, jitters has a brand for you). They treat their customers fairly and decently, and their prices are very good compared to most major-chain coffee shops like Starbucks. Bravo!
