I'm not sure who most of these other eviews are talking about, but I had a great experience with Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering. Jeff's team did a great job organizing all the of the people working on my pool and the end product came out looking beautiful. We hit a few snags along the way, but Jeff did everything he could to make sure I was happy with the way the pool turned out, and I was kept up to date on everything that was happening. I would recommend Jeff Kerber to anyone who is looking to get their pool remodeled.

I had a great experience with this company when they remodeled my backyard last year. The deckwork and plastering came out looking great, and they salesman was a big help when choosing tile. The workers were very fast and seemed to have had plenty of experience. The only thing I could have wanted would be a few more english-speaking workers, but they were very kind and courteous when I did speak with them.

Jeff Kerber Plastering plastered my pool as a sub contractor of Blue Fountain Pools. There were foot prints in the plaster and when called on this they came out and assured me that sanding the plaster was the standard method to repair it. Following the sanding the plaster has discolored and I have been informed that the sanding removed the seal coat and the plaster needs to be replaced. The job looked horrible from the begining and looks worse now. You will regret the day you hired this company.

Working with this company was a breeze. They definately took the effort, even going above and beyond with some plumbing issues that they knew were not their problem or creation. They did all they could to make our backyard match our dreams. I always HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone beginning a pool project. Our pool is beautiful !!!

I had many issues with the pool plastering remodel that Jeff Kerber Pools did. I could get absolutely no response from the company except for a supervisor telling me my pool was to industry standards, but when asked if they would accept this pool in their own back yard, was told no. Finally I took Jeff to small claims. His attorney made several attempts to have my case thrown out. They eventually had to make good on the pool. There is an above reference to "some people can never be pleased," unfortunately this is Jeff Kerber's attitude with every customer so there are not too many pleased customers. I have never seen so many bad reviews on a company. I just wish they had been out there before I hired this company to do my pool. Even with coming back and fixing my pool it is still not right. If you hire this company make sure you sit outside on a chair and watch every little thing they do. Get everything in writing because they will double talk their way out of everything. As soon as you realize you need to fight them, they will stick their lawyer on you. Don't be intimidated, there is not much the lawyer can do in small claims. Just be persistent with the court system and you will get some results!!!!

We had our pool re-plastered by Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering and we are thoroughly disappointed. First they got the work order wrong and started jack hammering the steps when they weren't suppose to. When I pointed that out to them they "repaired" hole they made in the steps with plaster instead of gunite or cement. Now the steps have several cracks and ooze something black. When I called them to take a look at it, the person that came over basically called me a liar when I told him that his men had inadvertently broken up the steps and refilled them with plaster instead of gunite. They have come out several times to "fill" the cracks however, a few weeks later the crack appear again. Also, the handrail they installed became loose only a year after they installed it. In fact, while they were installing it, I had to point out to the guy that he had installed in crooked. Some of the workers seemed to lack any knowledge of basic cement work. I'm thinking Jeff Kerber should have paid me to supervise his crew.

Worst decesion we ever made was signing a contract with Kerber Pool's. We have 27 cracks in 32 pieces of pour in place Coping. Kerber tells us that's normal, concrete cracks, 27 times within 1 month? HMMM?They also tried to get us to pay upfront .That's illegal we later found out.Log on CSLB and read "before you hire a pool contractor" section. If your having Kerber problems file a compliant with CSLB or call 562-345-7552, ask for Elizabeth Reeves. Don't let there in house attorney scare you. I wonder why they need an in house attorney? Could it be all the complaints against them filed with the CSLB. GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN! If you need a good and honest pool Contractor call OC Pools, Damien 714-348-7665.

My pool was replastered in May and in my opinion was poorly resurfaced. The workers dug a hole to hide the unused plaster. I sent pictures and was told that they could polish the pool so that it would be to our satisfaction (no high/low spots or steaking). What he did was sand it. But it is so uneven, the lows are low and the high spots are high. This process only took plaster off the pool. Their position is that it is "within" business standards. BE CAREFUL not to sign the portion of their contract which gives up your rights to litigate in court. We are very dissatisfied with their work.

Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering is doing a pool remodel next door to me. I don't know anything about the quality of their work. But their workers have succeeded in angering all of the surrounding neighbors. Their workers tapped into our water supply without permission. When confronted, the apparent person in charge lied about it, first claiming that he had rung our doorbell to get permission (he did not), and next claiming that he thought that the houses were all part of the same complex and shared water (there is no complex - this is a neighborhood of clearly delineated, separate, single family residences). The workers pull up in noisy trucks each morning before the 7:00 a.m. start time allowed by City ordinance, and the workers bang around and hold loud conversations that disturb the surrounding neighbors. An equipment trailer blocks ingress and egress to neighboring driveways, and spews diesel fumes into neighboring homes. When neighbors attempt to resolve various issues, the person in charge lies or is rude and confrontational instead of handling the problems. We have lots of pools in our neighborhood; what a missed marketing opportunity!!

We paid over $15K to get our pool re-plastered and for new tile.We went for the Kerber gray quartz with black specks. The crew broke and installed a brand new pool light which I provided but they charged me to install. The pool leaked an inch a day until they fixed it.The black specks are missing, The gray color plaster has white streaks.I cannot get Kerber to call me back to address, I am getting the runaround for over a month now.Jeff Kerber himself I am told will handle my complaint but to this date no call or communication from Jeff Kerber. I am very dissatisfied and waiting for a response from them.Looks like I will have to hire a lawyer.

Had my pool replastered 4 years ago with a 5 year warranty. Plaster cracked and I called them as it was still under warranty. They missed scheduled appointments and showed up unannounced. When I came home from work one day, they had drained my pool. They did unsightly repairs without talking to me first. When I contacted them (and after many phone calls) I was told it wasn't under their warranty, it was a structural problem. I filed complaint which is ongoing with State Contractors Board. Kerber had their "attorney" contact me. According to estimates I have received from other pool plasterers to repair the repair, this is the usual course for Jeff Kerber Pool Plastering.

This company is the plastering subcontractor for Blue Haven Pools. Don't waste your money, time, and enegy on this company.

Plastered in October 2005. Had to hire American Leak Detection because Blue Haven did not feel that losing an inch of water a day in the winter was due to a leak. American Leak Detection found 4 major leaks and 17 structural leaks. We have the professional opinion from 4 pool related employees/owners that the filtration system and pump are faulty. Placement of shutoff spritzer valves installed too close and will lead to failure of pipes, pool umbrella in contract never delivered with the other startup items in contract. We have called and sent certified letter but have gotten no reply.

Contractors State License Board is getting so many complaints; they are trying to revoke Blue Havens license. The information that they have you sign regarding their insurance is not correct. Their general liability insurance company is Hartford/ Speigler Insurance Services 858-459-8834. They have to have a cash bond with the State License Board due to their bad work. The plasterer hat they used for our pool is Jeff Kerber Plasters; they are responsible for the leaks.

We have paid $36,000 for a pool that leaks and has bad equipment. They will not plaster the pool unless you give them payment in full. We have not been able to enjoy our pool. The water bills for a pool that leaks an inch a day should be Blue Havens problem not ours. We can't heat the pool to enjoy it because it is not cost effective with it leaking so badly. We installed this pool so our son could enjoy it and because my husbands bad back. Their contract states that every pool that they install will hold water - ours does not, and that the equipment is free from defects.
