I took my dog to Dr. Brown for the first time about 8 months ago for a check up. I wanted to find a good vet to take our animals to and wasn't crazy about the other two vets that I had tried before with our other animals. He was great with our dog on that visit. This week our dog had what looked to be a bite, but it didn't seem infected and it didn't bother him when I was touching it trying to find out what was going on. He also had an injury on his foot. I took him in and the place was very busy and short staffed. I thought I would have to wait-emergencies happen. I was seen earlier than my scheduled time. The vet discovered that the lump on the side of our dog was a parasite(a worm!)-made a small incision and pulled it out-(YUCK) and said that would heal-it has already. He also discovered that our dog had broke off his back toe nail. He said the nail would grow out, keep him inside. As opposed to having a surgery and removing the nail and returning every 4-5 days to have the dressing changed. He also added that it would be very painful. He gave him antibiotics, a shot of antibiotics and some spray for his nail to prevent infection, inflammation and numb it a bit to make him more comfortable. Our dog is now doing great. This just happened yesterday! The charge with meds-$150.00-VERY REASONABLE. a GREAT VET. HE HANDLED OUR DOG VERY WELL-gently and kept talking to him-Since he was scared and in pain-he got a bit snappy, requiring a muzzle.

Pros: Experience vets, great with patients, reasonablercharges

Cons: None during my two visits

I hate to agree with one of the reviewer here. One of the receptionists is really COLD. NO SMILE what so ever. Maybe it is ok in New York City but in LA???

They also open 15 minutes late than what they supposed to.

Anyway, you can't beat the price. $12 per veccination on Sat is really cheap.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cold receptionists and not open on time

I have been going here for years. The staff and Dr. Brown are the most thorough and helpful people in the vet business. Pricing is very fair and visits are very complete. Unnecessary procedures are never done in order to pad the bill. Only place to go if you want your pet taken care of the right way!

Completly NOT helpful and NOT compassionate at all. The receptionist was cold and rude and would not help me at all. Complete lack of knowledge of anything. maybe the doctors are good but with such bad receptionists how they have any business is a mystery to me. DON"T EVER USE THIS VET.

I want to say that Pet Vet is one of the best Vets I have ever had the pleasure of going to. My dog was lucky to have such compassionate and knowledgeable Vets. Dr. Brown truly understood the bond I had with my best friend and I thank him for his help. I would go back to this VET anytime!

I have been going to Dr. Brown at Pet Vet for nearly two years now. Not only they very caring but reasonable. They don't gouge you.

I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to find a good, caring Vetenarian.

Pros: There are all Pros

Both Dr. Brown and Dr.Beeder are very competent vets.
Dr. Beeder saved my dog from parvo when she was a pup rescued from the pound , and provided me with what to do to help once I got her home. Thank you!!
Dr. Brown has always been helpful and provided sound advice with my animals as well.
Thank you both!!

Dr. Brown was off the day I had to bring my cat in for an emergency so I got Dr. Beeder. My cat had been limping and I wanted an xray. My cat had been suffereing for many years from kidney disease but Dr. Brown had helped me keep control of it. Instead of taking the darn xray as I had asked. Dr. Beeder insisted I take blood from my cat to see why she was still so skinny.

We knew why she was skinny. It was because of the kidney disease. Instead of going with my heart and leaving, I agreed to the blood test. Sitting in the room I heard screaming from my cat in the back. A few minutes later Dr Beeder came back in and said they were not able to get the blood.

The stress from the test caused my cat to stick her tongue out. They handed her back to me wrapped up in a towel. When I got home and unwrapped her, she was no longer able to walk at all as well as one of her claws was ripped off, bloody and hanging from her paw.

The stress of the experience with her kidney disease and her age, caused me to have to bring her back to Dr. Brown who had to put her to sleep. She was never able to walk after the experience.

Stay away from Dr. Beeder!

I found Dr. Brown and his clinic in the Yellow Pages and am so glad that I did. He has now treated two of my feline friends and his genuine caring shows through, from the moment he steps into the examining room with you. He will be our family vet from now on. The site is clean, the desk and help staff are friendly and make one feel comfortable and the other pet parents that I have met in the waiting room have all been pleasant and loving people. Prices are reasonable. I'd recommend Dr. Brown and this facility to any animal lover.

I finally found Dr. Howard Brown. He used to do relief work at Warner Center and has purchased his own hospital a couple of years ago.
Dr Brown loves what he does and it shows. His staff is friendly and knowledgeable in Veterinary Medicine. They are Registered Veterinary Technicians. The atmosphere is "Mom and Pop" however the medicine is "Over and Above".
I highly recommend this hospital. I am so glad I have found Dr. Brown again.
P.S. Dr. Brown has done several C-Sections on my dogs. He is very knowledgeable in breeding.
