This bakery has the best bread and cakes. If you are having a party or a celebration this is the place to visit. The taste of all their sweets are to die for. Try it.

La Brea Bakery is famous for its bread, and if you ever try their olive bread with their rosemary olive oil, you might understand. Freshly baked and warm, its perfect for a summer picnic. They also make fabulous sandwiches, croissants, and scones, and they sell a great variety of cheeses.

PROS: Fantastic bread, great selection of foods

This bakery's bread, baked daily and delivered by truck locally, is now available in nearly every better grocery store in Los Angeles. We became devoted to LBB after tasting their focaccia covered in caramelized onions many years ago. the quality remains high and they offer a huge selection of fresh breads both savory and occasionally sweet...try the chocolate cherry bread next time you want really amazing french toast!

PROS: The wide variety and high quality of breads
CONS: pricey..but what better to do with $5 or $6???

Perhaps LA's best bakery. They sell every kind of bread with olives, cheese and cherries. I like their sourdough rolls. it is connected to the appealing Campanile restaurant.
