The noise and some of the "golfers" take away a couple of stars. I would only come here if I need a quick round and its not rush hour.

This course is not for the serious golfer. Condition of course is harsh. I made the mistake of picking a 4 o'clock friday t time. Course was full of drunks. No enforcement of rules. Had a hard time getting a beer for myself since the bar cart stuck with a large rowdy group of folks. This place is just not a place to play a good round of golf. People were playing holes randomly. Cutting in front of us and others. This course has great potential, but obviously needs some new management. An early sunday t time was a bit better until the turn. One guy pissing on a tree while his buddy was puking about 20 feet away. Then the crew that got behind us was wasted at 8 AM. Save your golf for a place that is better managed. What a waste of a potentially good course.

Pros: Great potential

Cons: Poorly managed

Went golfing here today and a one of the workers was following us around trying to get us to constantly hurry up even though there weren't people right behind us. He followed us on every hole for the first 4 holes and finally we went back and got a refund and left. Go to Camarillo Springs a little bit further down the 101 for stress free golf and avoid this place. The course isn't even that good.

Pros: Example: best croissants in town

Cons: Pushy workers, poorly maintained

This course is a Tweener, a standard muni track; that has some
really beautiful holes. You know the Fairways will have issues
here and there for the price... it's a nice little goat track(Facilities are nice). Elevation changes,
nice routing on the back, semi-blind shots, nice downhill tee shots, old trees. Some holes have some real flavor and they will keep you coming back. Fun Place for Tee Balls.Gonzo -
Greens can be smallish here and there; that medium slope you find at the older munis...they
hold well.
Trickier on the back, stay hydrated, it'll save you money.Mind your lies around the green with that spongy Kikuyu.
check how receptive or soft they are and use that spin, or not, accordingly.
practice that pop chip for that nasty club grabbin devil grass.

For the price it's a choppers delight, but challenging for all
players.
Take that extra club on your approaches and
stay balanced, hole a few bombs, drive it like crazy, stay out of your head,
shoot 68, and return to post how this the best damned Muni track in LA!!
Giddyup.

Having recently played Lost Robles, I'd think about going back. You expect a little wear and tear on a public course, but this was more than we expected.

What is really unsetting is the fact that they just pack the people onto the course, with no marshall to keep play going. A call to the pro shop was not heeded and the day was extremely frustrating.

Better management might help.

Poor los robles. It really has potential to be a great public course, unfortunately it is poorly maintained. The fairways are often dried up and brown while the greens are hard, bumpy and do not putt true.

There are quite a few trees at los robles but it's another course that you can be a little wild and still get away with par.

PROS: Fair course
CONS: poor condition

The course is 6200 from the tips, and nothing more than a muni. Constant problems with fairways or greens, but very picturesque nonetheless. Top 10 though, get real!

The freeway noise on the front 9 is very loud! The upkeep of the fairways needs drastic improvement. Millions was spent on the renovation of this course, unfortunately most of it was for the club house.
This course has been changed several time, unfortunately for the worse each time.

In Short
This par 70 public course may not have a big reputation, but it should. The picturesque, occasionally hilly course features fairways lined with stands of old oaks and dotted with gentle lakes, making for a golf…
