Sherman's Deli and Bakery is a good little restaurant for breakfast in Palm Springs. I have not tried other meals. They have an extensive menu that is well priced. It was a fairly busy place but the food was good and worth the short wait.

From the Potato Pancakes to traditional sandwich's Sherman's Deli is a must. We eat at Sherman's at least twice in a weekend visit to Palm Springs. Enjoy!

I grew up in Philly and New York. Need I say more. Oh, yeh, I'm a Jewish. Like many restaurants, "good" depends on what you order. If you've had smoked fishes from Zabar's, Barney Greengrass, etc., you'll want your money back after eating Sherman's Nova, Baked Salmon, etc. If you want a fairly good Pastrami, Corned Beef or Salami, you'll be in good shape. Only major complaint is their rye bread. I've eaten their a couple of dozens times and each time I ordered a sandwich it tastes like yesterday's rye. Speaking of which...the best Rye bread on the planet can be found at LANGER'S in down town L.A.

Pros: Only Jewish deli within 150 miles.

Get the word out - THE BEST deli ever is in Palm Springs. I live only 2 blocks from the famous Junior's Deli in L.A. - I would drive an hour and a half to go get ANY sandwich at Sherman's before I go to Junior's for the same. It's THAT good! Prices are not out of this world but the quality of every item we had at that table (there were three of us and we ate there twice) was excellent. Beef brisket sandwich-excellent, Reuben sandwich with pastrami-excellent, french toast and bacon (thick, tasty, slightly sweet, not overly oily slices), carrot cake to die for (not sickeningly sweet), cole slaw (yum! almost as good as Felipe's), lovely fried potatoes, breakfast potatoes and fries (crispy on the outside, not overly oily), vegetable omelette with bacon (huge and tasty). Generous portions! The service was super fast, super friendly and super honest. Parking was not a problem, though we could have walked there from several hotels in the area, and it's only a couple of blocks from the main drag. If you're in the Palm Springs area this place is NOT to be missed - breakfast is excellent, hardly any wait. Lunch gets a bit busy but still a reasonable and comfortable waiting time with complimentary coffee.

This place is very delicious. The triple decker turkey and bacon sandwich, it's to die for. And you must have the Mexican cookies that has pecans dipped in white powered sugar. They simply melt in your mouth.

Sherman's menu is huge. You can order any type of sandwich, which any type of side dish and any type of dessert. The food is as big as the menu. In addition to deli fair they have home made soups, and giant home made full meals, including chicken in the pot, brisket, and chicken and ribs. Their burgers aren't too shabby either.

If you want something light you can have a bowl of soup and 1/2 a sandwich with your choice of salad, or a bagel with veggies and cream cheese.

The desserts are home made and range from pies to puddings to cakes to cookies.

This place is an oasis in the desert.

Nice place, good location, but overpriced. Being a "Jewish" Deli does not mean you can charge $10 for a pound of flour cooked in chix fat, then claim your inexpensive!

the usual great or jewish deli menu. Some things are better than others. Salads are a little weak. Sandwiches are of healthy size. Desserts are the usual 15 foot high deli creations. Good for the price and convenience.
