The food is authentic Mexican food without crossing the border. With a friendly atmosphere entangled with great flavorful food, its definitely a change from Taco Bell.

Some of the best chips and guacamole in the Carlsbad area. You can walk right around the back and take a walk on the beach until sunset. If your into fajitas look no further.

Not much cheers me up more than sitting outside on Fidel's sunny patio, consuming a Tostada Suprema at a leisurely, south-of-the-border pace. This corner (Carlsbad Boulevard and Carlsbad Village Drive) has to be the happiest place in Carlsbad. Everyone is on vacation, enjoying the sunshine, tired from a hard day at the beach or poolside you get the picture.

this place is the best! my personal favorite is the fish burrito. chimichanga is good too. also the tostada! its huge!, you get a lot of food for the price. the tortilla chips are really great, fresh too. the salsa is a little weird, because its runny, not chunky, almost like spaghetti sauce, but i have gotten used to it and love it now. great outdoor patio seating, and indoor too. great atmosphere! this is a must place to go.
