Broken Yolk Cafe

I've never really understood the ginormous lines that form at this restaurant every weekend.

Sure they have huge portions (that's gotta be it) but the food is
imo mediocre.

There are much better breakfast places at the beach.

I LOVE this place, there portions are out of control and the biscuits and gravy are ridiculous. Price is good and the staff is OK. I think the place is perfect except for how long it takes to in on the weekends. But if you can stand the wait it's defiantly worth it.

The broken yolk is a quality fresh breakfast place that i love, which explains how crowded it is all the time! But if you are willing to wait, you will not be sorry!

This place was great. I don't usually get up for breakfast but this place is worth it. The wait looked so long, but it actually wasn't that bad; I had a party of two and they seated us right away.

Great Breakfast place! Go early or you'll be standing in line. Popular place! They serve any kind of omlette you can think up. Eggs any way you can make them. I fun little beach cafe. A must for all San Diego residents. Reasonable prices a plus!

Lots of food, good prices, great service! We always have the best time when go here. It is great for college students, great for families, great for large groups. Yummy food too!

This place has huge proportions for a moderate price. The food is ok, but nothing special. Service is pretty good. The omelets are their specialty. I would recommend that.

I love this causal breakfast place, they even have early morning specials if you get there before 8 am I think. The waitstaff was friendly and accommendating. The portions are large and generous. I wish this place were open later, it closes at 3.

broken yolk cafe is a killer good place for breakfast foods. they have huge portions and you can make anything you like! this san diego speciality is just about the best there is. much better than ihop. the parking is a little annoying because of garnet and because it's so good, the lines are long, but once you're in, the service is fast. dont forget your coupons in the san diego reader or student dollar stretcher.

Broken yolk is a good place to go if you are extremely hungry because the servings that they serve are enormous. When I go to Broken Yolk, I like to order with friends and share dishes because it is nearly impossible to finish your own dish without having to take it home. If you are looking for a quaint place to take a date, this place is not the place to go. Because of its huge servings, many people like to go here and the place is usually packed with people. Also, because a lot of people like to go here, the parking spaces fill up quickly and it is sometimes painful to have to look for a space. However, I would also like to add that despite its popularity and its limited parking spaces, the wait for a table is usually short and you can expect to be seated within ten minutes.

Packed on weekend mornings, but line isn't that long usually. Very good food that you can share for a good price. The muffins and biscuits are really good also.

Whether you have a craving for omlets, pancakes, or a nice big sandwich, you can find it all here at the Broken Yolk. This favorite breakfast place has won a variety of awards for their winning dishes. A tip for those of you that live in the San Diego area, you can often find coupons in the Reader or in the local Penny Saver.

The Broken Yolk Caf is a very popular breakfast (and lunch) joint in PB. There are usually long lines on the weekends, and a full house on weekdays. The staff is busy, but very friendly. The food is generally pretty good with large portions. Their make-your-own omelets are a favorite and come with 2 sides. Give this place a shot if youre a big breakfast person!
