Avoid this place at all costs. I turned in my luggage on 1/23/11 because of a broken handle. They said they might be able to fix it in-house. I told them NOT to send it out if they could not fix it. They promised to call me. Never

I purchased from Peninsula Luggage (dba: Rooten's Luggage) in Tustin, CA a "Transworld E7200" rolling luggage on July 7, 2010--the day before I had to fly out to Europe. After finishing packing that evening, I went to lift the bag. The handle broke. Not just the strap, but the metal clasp. (The metal was so soft that it actually ripped.) Because my flight was in the very early morning I had no choice but to use the damaged bag. Upon my return from my trip I went back to Peninsula Luggage and told the store clerk of my situation. He said no return was possible. I then asked for them to fix the handles (both were now broken). He said they could have it fixed for me, but I would have to pay for shipping of more than $20. It was obvious to me that the employee didn't wish to deal with the problem. Instead he said to notify Mr. Yagnesh Parkeh, Store Manager.
If I would have known that this business did not stand by their products I would have gone someplace else. This was a bad experience for sure.
