just like any other 99 market. This one has a lot of asian food at reasonable price. This one is not a flagship shop for 99 market. It is not as beautiful as the one in san gabriel.

I do most of my chinese grocery shopping here at 99 Ranch in Monterey Park. The prices are always excellent and I'm always surprised at how much I saved every time I shop here. The vegetables are usually ripe and fresh looking. Although, depending on the time of day you shop, the vegetables looks unedible. However, most of the time I'm able to find vegetables that looks very fresh.

If you go to Monterey Park for the first time and are trying to look for a grocery store, this 99 Ranch Market is the place to go. They have everything Asian here - Indonesian, Chinese, Indian, Thai spices and cooking ingredients. This particular store is located in a plaza where you will find lots of Chinese restaurants and bakeries, music and video stores and also a really superb cafe that has the best boba drinks! There are lots of other 99 Ranch Markets around, but this is probably the biggest store in L.A. Plenty of parking in the lot. You want to avoid going here between the hours of noon-2pm on a Sunday as it can get really crowded.

My wife and I used to shop at 99 Ranch about once a few months but all that changed after we tried their food in the food court. We initially walked over to the food court because we were curious about the food. We decided to try it out because the food looked pretty appetizing. We were pleasantly shocked to find that their prizes were very cheap: two entrees with soup and rice for $2.99 and three entrees with soup and rice for $3.99 and they gave us huge portions too! We tried one three entree and had orange chicken, szechuan eggplant and braised tofu. Everything tasted great! Now we go to 99 Ranch once a week to buy the food!
