5 Stars: Eagle Rock Emergency Pet Clinc is the best for Emergency Care (by Bob S.)

I would not hesitate to take my dog there again if she needed it. They are very to the point, which might turn some people off but their priority is the pet not the person!

5 Stars: Eagle Rock Emergency Pet Clinic is the greatest (by Leslie P.)

On 4th of July my dog decided to bite the router bit and almost completely removed her lower lip. I took her to Eagle rock knowing it was a holiday and thinking-this will be costly. She was taken in right away and within 4 hours was ready to go home. The staff was very professional and informative. Dr. Carla Robbins is my hero! She did an amazing job fixing what looked like an almost unfix able mess. When it came time to pay, I was pleasantly surprised that it seemed very fair and a respectable amount to pay. I feel very satisfied and will continue to use them if I ever find myself in need. I will also recommend them to anyone with emergency pet needs.

1 Stars: Might Be Fine with Pets, Horrible with HUMANS (by Jana J.)

Keep away at all costs. The vet might be OK, don't know. But the staff... oh how horrible the night woman is, horrible! I wouldn't ever, ever recommend them. Ever.

5 Stars: My choice for emergency care (by Animal S.)

We had a very ill cat, we took her to the Sunset clinic in the morning and the care was appalling - in the evening we took her to Eagle Rock, the staff was wonderful, kind and patient, the care was very reasonably priced and they treated us with the utmost respect. They have great vets and assistants on staff, and wonderful vets on call.

5 Stars: WORTH IT (by Bill S.)

My dog woke me up crying with a twisted stomach and was bloated, I called them and they said it was not good and to rush in ASAP, I did they operated and basically saved my dogs life, they were honest with me on what could happen I accepted that and they did their job! They were professional and quick! I've been there several times in the past and each time they have done their job and saved my dogs life! I have saved their number for things like this and it was worth it!

3 Stars: Efficient if not pleasant (by marcia r.)

It is what it is. A place to bring emergencies. The staff while not pleasant, were efficient and professional.

The waiting room was the last place in the world I wanted to be; really you are only there because you have to be.

But considering they may have one of the worst jobs in the vet world I think they do ok. Seriously? Can you imagine having to work the graveyard shift to treat every animal that may not live till morning. It might make you a bit bitter too. Other vets get to see happy healthy animals all the time, not these people. Only sad depressing cases and very upset owners cross their paths.

So yes, only go if you have to, but be thankful knowing they are there for you.

5 Stars: I trust them all the way (by Lauri G.)

Emergency vets are expensive no matter where you go. I have been using the same emergency vet service for over 12 years and I have never been disappointed by the level of care.

I have gone to Eagle Rock Emergency Vet clinic for everything from dogs with broken legs, dying cats, and maladies of every flavor. They have handled it all with care and respect.

4 Stars: Thank you!! (by karen f.)

I couldn't believe how great the staff was with my cat who got hit by a car. His eyeball was hanging out and he had a broken jaw. They fixed the jaw and stitched his socket closed and had him stable 6 hours later. He was actually purring when they brought him to us the next morning. The staff was very loving to my cat and showed him alot of affection. I took him back there the next night because I had more faith in them than my vet.

4 Stars: pricey, but they know what they are doing (by marina d.)

My great dane dog came in with a condition known as gastric torsion and bloat. They acted quickly, knew exactly what they were doing and remained calm the whole time. After they stabilized him, they had me take him to another place that could perform the surgery. The other clinic said that Eagle Rock did an excellent job stabilizing and preparing him for the surgery. Four days later, my dog is home and doing well. Many dogs that get this will not survive. If the owner and vets don't know about the breed and the symptoms, the dog will suffer horribly. Thank you Eagle Rock.

4 Stars: Great Resource on Nights and Weekends!!! (by Barry G.)

We've taken both of our dogs here on several occasions. One ate gopher poison another was just "not himself" -- panting, edgy, whimpering. On both occasions the staff were helpful. Don't expect a kindly grandma type to come hold your hand and reassure you, but do expect professionals who know what they're doing. Both of our experiences were great and they took very good care of our dog who ate the gopher poison. As for the big guy who just "wasn't himself" -- the vet tech looked at him, checked him out, and told us she thought he was ok. She gave us the option of waiting for the vet to do a once over when she finished her surgery or to come back later, or to just watch him and see how he did. So far he's been fine, and she didn't charge us a penny! I've also called them from time to time (once when our pitbull ate 2 dozen chocolate frosted cookies) and they've always been helpful. They are an URGENT CARE clinic. They don't know you, your dog, or its history. They do, however, know what to do in an emergency, and at 1:30 a.m. that's the best I can ask for!

4 Stars: Good in an emergency (by Ryan T.)

I've taken my dog here twice. This clinic should only be used in emergency and usually just so your pet can be stabilized until you can get them to their usual vet. If you can wait until the morning, don't go here. The first time I took my dog here she had a really bizarre infection and a high fever. They put her on IV fluids and antibiotics until I could take her to her regular vet the next morning. If they hadn't been available my dog could have been in really bad shape with permanent damage. I took her there again when an unnoticed wound on her inner thigh got severely infected. It's a good resource. They are a bit cranky, but I have found that if I am patient and pro-active I will be treated well. I'm sure they get a lot of hysterical people who are difficult to deal with, so they appreciate it when you are calm and give a clear explanation of what happened. My neighbor took his dog here after our dogs got in a fight. His dog was pretty torn up, so if this place wasn't available we would have been out of luck. They did a good job at stabilizing her until we could get her to her vet. If you go here, you are going to pay minimum $250. They charge a $75 emergency fee just for walking in the door. It's for emergencies only!

4 Stars: No Frills but decent for emergencies (by Jen B.)

We had to rush our neighbors tiny dog here after it got into our backyard thinking he was bigger than he was and fought with our big dog, the small dog was in critical condition and this vet was quick, thorough and explained all possible difficulties and problems. I can't say enough about how pleased we were regarding service etc not to mention the peace of mind we get having an emergency pet hospital this competent so close.

I am happy to say the little dog survived and lives to still torment our big dog through the new reinforced fence of course!

4 Stars: (by Matthew B.)

I can imagine no better way to recommend this clinic than to relate this story. When my cat was hit by a car right in front of me, I knew it was bad. Even though it was after business hours, I scooped her up and drove to the nearest place I rememberedseeing an "Animal Clinic"-type sign. Turns out they specialize in emergency care - the duty vet did the X-rays & diagnosis lightning fast, and managed to stabilize the internal ruptures & cracked vertebra. The next day she went to a full care clinic. It was a close-run thing, but two years later, she's just fine.
