How the heck did these people rank #1 in Sacramento?! HORRIBLE!!! I should have known by the sketchiness of the younger guy that worked there and told me that it wouldn't cost me more than 130$ for them to fix the channels by adding gold to my diamond ring. He called me the next day to say it would be 675$. I asked why the dramatic difference and he told me that the price of gold is at an all time high....ridiculous. I told him that I would pick up the ring later that day to take it to another jeweler (which I should have done!) BUT he called me about an hour later and said that they would be willing to do the work for 420$ I left the ring with them since I thought that was a fair price. 3 days later I go on my lunch break to pick up and pay for the ring (was passed down to me from my mom) looked good, more thicker than I imagined but I was so happy to have it back it didn't faze me until I was looking at the work more closely later and noticed a small black hole right on one of the side channels, which was obviously never there in the first place- that or any other inclusion. I brought it back that day and the sales rep was rude, "oh, your back" was the response I got. I showed her the hole and told her that I wanted it fixed. She told me that it was a pit that was DO NOT Galready there deep in the ring and by doing the work it brought it up to the surface and that if I wanted it fixed I would have to take it to the original ring maker. I insisted that the ring be left for the jeweler to see the next morning. But me not knowing jeweler terminology believed her since I'm trusting these people...BIG MISTAKE! I went home and did my research via internet and began calling around different jewelers in the area and have been in a bad mood ever since I left the store this afternoon. It is clearly from their poor workmanship. I left the ring with the pushy sales rep to have the jeweler look at it to see what they can do......can't wait to hear what other line of bull they are going to try feeding me. From everything I've been hearing once a ring has a pit it's basically ruined and you need to start from scratch. I am so frustrated with this whole experience and I plan on sharing this complaint with every person and site I know. DO NOT GIVE THESE SHYSTERS YOUR PATRONAGE!!!!!!!!

Several months ago my husband and I purchased our wedding rings from Guzzetta & Co. The selection was wonderful and I found a real unique ring as did my husband. However, when it was time to have my ring sized and two custom bands made, it took a little over 2 months. The first month, I received a call to pick up my rings and discovered the original ring not been sized and the custom bands were made the wrong size. The second month passed and I did not even have a ring to wear for my bridal shower, but finally two weeks before the wedding my rings were ready. I was so happy to just have them ready for the wedding that it was not until a month latter that I began to notice the diamonds were sliding around creating large gaps between the stones. I took the rings to another jeweler for a professional opinion and sure enough the craftsmanship was poor and they had not cut the bands which held the stones properly. I voiced my opinion to the owner who was apologetic and gave me a $100.00 discount on my $3,5000 purchase. My warranty covered the repairs on the bands, but I am about to pick them up and am apprehensive what I will discover. I will say I love my rings, but it took far too long to get a completed quality job. As for a recommendation to my friends and family-"NO."

I wanted to get a small piece of jewlery but was not sure what I wanted. I only wanted to browse but the lady kept telling me to see "this up close", how nice it is, looks great on me, etc. Left there with no jewelry. Not very enjoyable.
PROS: Parking
CONS: Sale driven clerks

a friend recommended guzzetta, when i was looking for someone to reset a diamond ring. located in a strip shopping center, guzzetta is a good size jewelry store with a pretty big staff. i went to the clerk with my ring and she took it - before i was to explain what i wanted. she came back with who i thought was the jeweler - only to find out he was a clerk also. i started to explain what i wanted done and they couldn't quote me a price or an approximate date i would get it, but it was obvious i wasn't going to get my ring back from these 2 clerks. so - i decided to have it done through them. the work was marginal at best, the turn around time was quick - 4 days. i didn't like their tactics at all and will not return.
PROS:
CONS: the pushy staff and the quality of the work
