This is a nice Italian restaurant. I've gone to it over the years. It has had several changes in ownership....each diminishing the quality of the previous owner. This is still a nice place to go...but not my favorite.

My family has been eating at the Black Olive for as long as I can remember. It has always been our "go to" restaurant. We knew that if we went there, we would never be disappointed. Instantly, we would salivate at the thought of their amazing bread, hearty minestrone, and salad. By the time we received our entree, we were stuffed! The food was incredible; perfectly hot, never over cooked, wonderfully seasoned, just the best. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I returned earlier in the year and things most definitely were not how they were. The service was slow, my food burnt, his food was cold. You now get a choice between soup or salad and the desserts have been changed. The new owners weren't quick to apologize and argued a bit with the fact that the cook had not changed. Well, the quality has. Sadly, the Black Olive is no longer our "go to" spot. How disappointing. With a lack of authentic Italian food in our area, this is really saddening.

This is a sweet, cozy, romantic Italian restaurant to take your honey. The food has always been very, very good. Is on the tiny side so make sure you reservations. Also a little tricky to find but so worth it.
