I have been to several All American Burgers over the years, including this one, and you always get a great burger at a reasonable price. The service is not the best, but even when they are busy, it is worth the wait. Get your favorite toppings, I love the BBQ burger. The fries are good, too!

Really basic facility HOWEVER the burgers are great and the fries awesome! They are similar to In and Out in that they use thousand island dressing on the burgers raher than mayo, but, they will do special orders to any way that you like it. It is a very friendly, neighborhood hamburger stand ... no frills, but excellent food. They also have an expanded menu for anyone looking for something other than burgers and also serve breakfast. Their hours have changed and are typically 7am - 8 pm M-Sat and 9am - 4 pm on Sundays. If you want to eat dinner there, arrive before 8 pm. It's worth the drive and definitely worth it if you are feely nastalgic.

frozen in time since '63. In this genre of burger stands, All American is king. I crave them once a week. I think I'll get one now...

As far as the burger joints in LA go this is the best. A great place to stop in after a day at the beach. Transport in time to the 60's. Way better than In and Out, and no teenagers!!!

Pros: great burgers, great prices, not a lot of kids

Cons: if you are not into divey places you might not like it

tried this place a couple times b/c it was en route. it's your basic greasy spoon. 1000 others are better. but they have their own lot and the food comes out pretty quick. it's not awful but not really worth a return unless hunger strikes again at the very moment i am passing it! have only tried the regular and avocado burger.

While it appears this burger chain had its heyday in the '70s and has all but faded away these days, they can still charbroil a decently good burger, even by LA burger-war standards. While not quite a see-and-be-seen destination, the All-American Burger on Sunset may be your last opportunity to visit this burger chain that time forgot. Definitely worth a visit as it may not be around much longer.

Cons: moderate investment could bring this place back to life
