Very nice restaurant and bar all under one roof!
They upholstered the booths in a sparkly green, took out
all the junk on the walls from the Brady Bunch era, and made it
look 1st class.
Great selection of food, very affordable, better selection of
liquor, all in this not-so-bad part of town.
All in all, a great time for everyone, and within budget!
Best food in SOUTH BAY, period.
Why did it take so long to get this place popping!

I was at McDini's last nite and something funny happened.
It was chill, good band, peaceful crowd, still early and these two
cops came in with a video camera, WTF?
I heard the rumors Nasty City hates African Americans, but
what the hell was that???
I love going to McDini's but the National CIty police dept seem
hell bent on mucking with the owners and some of the black
clientele, don't these fools know how racist they look to us
Black folks with their actions?
Hey McDini's, don't worry, us Navy folks know your
not the problem, it's the clowns who run the city that your located in

This ain't the old McDini's I used to know 20 years ago and
ya know what?
Thank God.
Looks completely different, same location, new owners.
Guys, keep it going, it's better than most other places I've been
to all over America.
Better yet, less stupid beers and a great selection of Tequila's
for me and the crew. Did I say I drink?

I've read other reviews of this restaurant on here.
All I can say is the food is excellent, reasonably priced, and
there is a ton of selection.
McDIni's appears very clean, almost too clean for what one
might expect from National City, but, I totally enjoy this place
at least 3 times a week, and I don't even drink!
Suggestion to newbies, forget about that corned beef stuff
and just order a steak & fries.
The quality is outstanding, the portions large, everything you would
expect for double the price!
BTW, the owners donate the parking lot area on weekends for
car wash events for military families and personnel completely
free of charge. (I'm in one of the 32nd Street groups)
Very good people in an all around great setting.

Mc Dini's is a cool lil bar n grill. Especially when they have their reggae venue. The vibes are always good & the staff is straight. I recomend it!!!

Mc Dini's offers delicious corned beef and great sides. It's a well-seasoned local restaurant with a varied clientele, and offers a great casual happy hour getaway!

McDini's was once a downtown San Diego tradition for Corned Beef. Years ago, they re-located in a transitional neighborhood in National City that is full of Mexicans, Koreans, Filipinos, and off-duty sailors. But McDini's remains loyal to the old traditions.
McDini's serves up excellent Corned Beef -- whether as sandwiches or dinners. The service is fun and upbeat. They bring you the sides without asking. The prices are reasonable. The beer is on tap.
The restaurant itself is a little weird. They have a well-used bar, huge game areas, TVs blaring sports, and cavernous booths for visiting sailors to come and get drunk.
Go figure. Good Corned Beef in the middle of National City mayhem. Whodathunkit?
