I was a customer for over 20 years when Nash owned the business, but when they sold the place, the quality & the customer service went way down, and the prices went way up, a 2 pc suite was 7.95 now it's 12.44 & often times, the stains that were on the suit when I brought it in are still there when I pick it up. (This happened just last week, and again this week)

I don't have the time to take back clothes repeatedly to get them cleaned? When I picked up my clothes the last time I was there, my ticket listed 3 pair of gray pants I only received two, when I called the next day to find my pants I was told that 4 pair of gray pants were there & that I could see if one of them belong to me none of the pants were mine so, he said he would check again & call me back, when I didn't hear from him I called & spoke with Frank only to be told that the system in place makes it almost impossible to lose clothes and that he watched me count all of the garments before I left? (Insinuating that I was trying to rip him off) Never mind the 4 pair of pants he showed me, he had no idea who they belong to? Great system huh?

I ask to speak with the owner; I was advised that he is the boss and he had talked to the owner and that it was with her blessing that no responsibility will be taken for the missing pants, I then informed him that I will bring back a few items to re-clean (Once again) after which I would be taking my cleaning elsewhere.

If you notice the receipt that youre given no longer itemizes the prices per item (Have you ever wondered why?) because the prices have gone up 30% & they dont want you to notice, When customers notice they give you more of a discount to silence you.

I am going to put some of my past receipts online at RipOffReport.com, Cityshearch.com, google and Yelp.com, so folks can see the prices and the discounts given to silence customers, when I went in last week I complained about the prices and was pulled to the side and given a 30% discount Wow!! Just like that, clear evidence that the other customers are being ripped off.

I dont believe that this proud Jewish community is going to continue to allow it self to to be ripped off; I have lived here for 19 years, and I am shocked that anyone would think that this behavior is ok, I will also pass this on to a couple of the rabbis I know, I am sure they will get the word out, there is no place for a business in this community the does not respect its customers, who do they think they are the U.S. congress?

Sloan's is an old LA staple. They do a beautiful job dry-cleaning clothes, including boxing sweaters rather than hanging them if that's what you prefer. A great place to take you clothing to prepare for seasonal storage.

Cons: expensive, poor service, below standard cleaning

the minute i walk in they know my name. they treat me like family too. they're not too big to be personal. when something is not done right, which is far and in between they offer right away to do it over. also the laundry sheets are fanastic, price is great for the area, and they have improved the folding of fluff very organized and neat. i love them. would recommend to anyone in the area.

I went to Sloan's a couple times because they are open on Sunday. Since I travel, I wanted my laundered dress shirts folded and my going out shirts on hangers. Despite me clearly indicating which were which they messed them up.

My next trip I double checked after giving the instructions on which to fold and sure enough, they had again confused the shirts that were to be folded but thanks to my diligence we avoided another mistake. I also dropped off about 10 lbs of wash and fold laundry. When I got my laudry back, they had not folded anything. Instead they just placed each item in a heap and wrapped it in plastic and I had to go home and fold everything (towels, t-shits, socks) THESE GUYS ARE A BUNCH ON NOGOODNICKS. At $1.50 a pound you should get your laudry folded. Moreover, on my dress shirts that were folded they did not use any cardboard supports in the collar and they carelessly tossed the shirts in a fold so that when I opened them for wear they were a wrinkled mess.
The short story here is that these guys are HACKS. Avoid them! I am still looking for a good cleaners in Los Angeles

They can go a little heavy on the starch, so be sure to tell them "extra light" or "no starch" if you don't like your shirts too stiff. But then again if you like things really crisp, then you'll really love them. I have found that they really follow instructions, as long as you are very specific. I love that! And best of all they are open on Sundays which makes picking up and dropping off that much more easy.
