4 Stars: Great Place for Parents (by Andrew S.)

I became a California Pizza Kitchen initiate a few months ago. My wife and I were attempting to go out to dinner with our one-year-old daughter. We tried Houston's near the promenade but there was a 45 minute wait. CPK was next door so we figured we'd give it a try. We walked in and it was like we were in a different world. The place was filled with families and while there was definitely a lot of kid energy happening it wasn't like you were in Chuck E. Cheese. My friend Phil calls it "Denny's for Yuppies" and I think he's right - in a good way. The food is pretty tasty for relatively low-priced fare and the fact that they serve alchohol is huge. God knows mom needs an apple martini or two after a day of toddler melt downs. The service is super friendly and relatively speedy. They know why you're there and perhaps most importantly, they know precisely the differential between the time it takes to make a jerk chicken pizza and the time it takes for your little bundle of joy to implode. Every parent should have a CPK within walking distance.

5 Stars: Delicious food! (by M. F.)

Not only is this place conveniently located around the corner from one of the best places to shop in LA, this particular CPK has outstanding service. And if you've ever been to one, you know to order the Original BBQ Chicken Salad and the Chicken Tequila Fettucini.

5 Stars: World Class California Pizza (by Anthony A.)

Conveniently located near the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, this California Pizza Kitchen is the classiest CPK I've been to. The service is extremely friendly and polite and they make sure to come around often in case you need a refill for your drink and just to see how you like your food. The space is big and the atmosphere is one of a more expensive restaurant. Definitely a good place to bring a date if you don't have the cash to splurge on a higher-end restaurant. And don't forget: their pizza variations are awesome! Try to pick something new everytime you go to liven things up a bit.
