Because I am always looking for good pizza I made the mistake of stopping here for lunch. Either the previous reviewers never had a decent (never mind good or great) pizza or they have all been shills. The slice of p-I-z-z-a (if one can call it that) that was brought to me was an oily glop of burned cheese sitting on top of oil soaked dough. After using several napkins in a vain attempt to try to sop up the grease I gave up and, for the first time in 59 years of eating pizza, walked away without even trying one bite - the pizza was that disgusting in how much oil was on it!!! Also, there didn't appear to be any tomato sauce on it. Probably a good thing as I assume whatever they would have thought qualified as tomato sauce would probably be some type of cheap ketchup. Rather than eat here, save your money and go hungry. You'll come out ahead.

Pros: None.

Cons: Burned cheese on greasy, oil soaked dough is not a pizza

This is in a great downtown Auburn location and I was invited here for the first time by a group of friends. The pizza I had that night was probably the best pepperoni & mushroom pizza I've ever had!

if you like a lot of stuff on your pizza, than old town pizza is the way to go, cause you don't just get a peperoni pizza but a pizza covered in peperoni.

I travel quite a bit for work, and I've had pizza from New York, Chicago, Boston, and other places. Old Town Pizza beats them all, hands down, no contest.

This is the pizza against which other pizzas should be measured.

With only two locations (one in Auburn CA, and one in Lincoln CA) they are not widely known, but they are definitely worth the drive.

The Auburn location was recently remodled and reopened after an adjacent building fire, and they are as good as ever. In fact, their pizza is so good that while the Auburn location was closed I found myself driving to their Lincoln location to get takeout, even though there are plenty of other places closer to home (I live in Auburn). I just couldn't bring myself to stomach 'Round Table' after tasting the perfect pies from Old Town.

The Auburn location is a bit restricted on parking, and a little hard to locate underneath 'Awful Annies' resteraunt, but the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is very helpful and friendly. I've never had a bad service experience at either location.

The menu offers a good variety, and the beers they carry complement the food nicely. If you don't eat meat, the 'gunfighters pesto' pizza is a must try. I eat meat, and I enjoy that pie just as much as my vegetarian wife does.

The value is also fantastic, as the pizzas are about 20-25% larger than you will get at a chain pizza place for about the same price. Delivery is also available if you live within the area of one of the two locations.

All in all, I highly recommend Old Town Pizza. Take the drive to one of their two locations and try it for yourself....but be warned, once you try it you won't want to go back to eating pizza anywhere else.

Cons: parking, hard to locate

Excellent pizza, quality ingreedients, small town feel. Clean fun place to bring the family and the prices are way better than its big competitors! Enjoy!
