They painted over all of the paintings with some awful gold paint! I just heard the word from my girlfriend who went there today. She was so sick she couldn't stay. It seems like some idiot bought the place and remodeled it to look like

How can anyone eat here, unless of course they are so drunk from the delicious beer that they don't realize the 40 minute wait for food or the poor quality and crazy high prices.

This pub is good if you are just judging the quality of beer, but the food and service is less than desireable. Just to put it over the edge the prices are oddly high for the quality, I think they are just trying to milk their Haight St. location...

This is one of my favorite places to grab a FANTASTIC glass of BEER and some AWESOME EATS. I think the NEW MENU is FABULOUS. However, the SERVICE is AWFUL. Perhaps the servers should think about throwing back a few beers before they start their shift. It could probably help their personalities.

This used to be a fabulous place to go for a burger and a beer. They recently (sometime between 4/20/08 and 5/31/08) renovated and I have to say it would have been better if the place had burnt to the ground.\r

Magnolia is a gem in the Haight St. neighborhood. While it can get a little expensive, especially when liquor comes into the mix, the food is great and definitely worth it. They have daily specials which are always delicious and interesting, and the weekend brunch is fantastic. The bagel with lox is the best I've had in the city, and the mimosas make for a lovely Sunday.

This is a fantastic restaurant but a little pricey. The atmosphere is awesome. I dont drink, so I get the home-made root beer, which is unbelievable. I assume that the beer is comparable. The menu is full of great pub kind of food, like Buffalo wings with Blue Cheese Sauce. The fries are great. For additional charge, you can add chili, or garlic, or cheese. Or all three if you like. Sometimes I go there and just get the fries with cheese and garlic, because everything else tends to be expensive. I have also had the chicken and apple sandwich, which is quite good, kind of different, if you are into mixing apples and chicken. The burgers are good. But you can get burgers any where, so they do have some unique items. About the best is the shredded beef tip with horseradish sauce. I got bad heartburn after eating it, but during eating it, it was bliss! Amazing sandwich, though probably not very healthy. All in all, great, but pricey.

Dave McLean's colorful Haight neighborhood brewpub has undergone a remodel; gone is the psychedelic mural that was a nod to the neighborhood's hippie-inspired past. Now, dark-wood booths, a long communal table and black-and-white tiled…
