Kaldi Coffee & Tea

Pros: great location and atmosphere.

Cons: stale, lukewarm coffee (they keep it in thermos' instead of brewing it fresh.)

The employees throw a lot of attitude.

Cozy little place with games, music, reading materials, and good coffee. The staff is friendly and there is generally some interesting art hanging on the wall. My only complaint are the smokers outside.

I love to hang out at Kaldi when it's nice and quiet. The room is great for kicking back and hanging with friends, or writing, or studying. Really creative environment. The crowd that hangs here tends to be a bit younger, but pretty hip and not annoying or anything. Their drinks are pretty good and the prices are reasonable. If you want to chill out or get some work done, either way this is a great place to do it. Parking is good, too. Always a plus.

Kaldi is a nice place to go when you need to meet with a friend and have a discussion. I've been there several times and whether on a rainy day or during the Farmers Market on Thursday afternoons, Kaldi is friendly and mellow. The drinks are reasonably priced, the staff is friendly, and the people there are always interesting. If you don't like teenagers, don't hang out outside because they seem to frequent the place. If you're a writer though, a lot of inspiration can be found at Kaldi.

I don't know where these guys get off charging more for thier coffe than starbucks. This is a cool little local joint, with the best seating outdoors. The coffe isn't the best in the world, and sometimes the place is a little overcome with high schoolers. Right across from a beautiful library and a gigantic tree. Take your coffe over here and sit in the grass.
