The New Children's Museum

One of my daughters got her hand caught in the door of an exhibit and got her fingers crushed and cut up. My other daughter almost got electricuted by an exposed electrical wire. At first I was simply unimpressed with the waste of space. There were big open areas with not a whole lot going on. They really leave a lot up a childs imagination. A big empty room with 3 bean bags with a video of underwater. There are a lot of open stairways made of concrete. Is there a good reason why those couldnt be sealed access to prohibit small children from falling down them? Remote control cactus with dead batteries, Playhouse with nothing inside except chairs and tables? Was I supposed to furnish it myself with something interesting inside? My daughter summed it up well with "I never want to come back here again"

Yes, my children really enjoyed the few hours we spent here. They loved the maze, painting a car, pillow fights and playing with clay. I was disappointed that there wasn't more to see. There are several large rooms with very little inside. I thought it was expensive for what you get. I was excited when I heard about this museum and was planning to buy a season ticket, but after our first visit I changed my mind.

this museum is a place that my grandparents used to take my sister and i when we were younger. it contains many hands-on exhibits that are great for kids, and at the end, you may take some clay and make something out of it!
