beyond my solitude there is another solitude.
my aloneness is a place without a connection to earth and the arts.
and my silence a confusion of voices.
beyond this burdened self lives my freer self.
too young and outraged to be my freer self.
how shall i become my freer self.
unless all men and women become free.
how shall my leaves fly singing upon the wind
unless my roots shall wither in the dark ?
how shall the painter in me soar against the sun
unless i leave the paintings i built with my own hands

i hear there is a place where i can find peace..

let me know where and when
i can meet you at cafe india

This is store if you looking for everything Indian. This was my first time shopping at KER and was very impressed with the level of service I experienced. The variety of items and fresh indian produce was amazing! There was an indian lady who helped me go through my shopping list and helped me find everything I was lookinf for including a masala daba!! for all my spices. I felt very comfortable shopping at KER and now i have become a regular visitor, also tried their buffet in the restaurant you dont want to miss if you go there! At the check out counter I was also offered a senior citizen discount! GREAT!!

There is one lady at ker who is very rude particularly the mexican lady.
I don't know what is wrong with her but she is the most rude person I ever met in my entire life. The other thing is sometimes the groceries are old. They are expired and have worms in it. They don't allow you to return anything even it is expird. You can only exchange it.Ker should hire some good people to work there.

Overall very good restaurant at a very reasonable price, Highly recommended.

A must store to visit if you looking for indian groceries, food, clothing and other miscellenous items. huge store catering to all san diego indians and non indians (which i always see shopping @ ker all the time i have visited the store). friendly customer service. Lately i read about their write up in asia magazine was great!. I meet the owners a couple to times and they went out of their way to order a item they usually do not stock on a regular basis. A MUST FOR ANY BODY LOOKING FOR GREAT PRICES, VARIETY AND CONSUMER FRIENDLY

Wow Venu Gopal...

If you don't like Indian Food (Chapatis), what the fu(k are you doing on Ker's website? I can bet, you watch Indian movies all the time and eat the buffet at Ker as well. That is your thinking of going out and enjoying, I know you guys well. Do you follow Cricket and Kabaddi? How many Hindi song CD's do you own? Don't try to be a American by saying that you don't eat chapattis, you are gonna stay Desi for life. You might be trying to act different in front of your American Colleagues (which, you think, are your friends) and they are making fun of you, so you took it out by posting a para at Ker's Website. Do they call you Abu? Woo hoo hoo hoo.

That was lame, what you posted. Stop the b!t(h!ng, and get straight. Was that cook your relative or something, that you are so mad. Take it easy and grow up.

I ASKED CASHIER FOR CHAPATIS, THEY TOLD CASHIER TO MAKE CHAPATIS, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY CHAPATIS, I WAS TOLD WHOLE THING IN KITCHEN, I WASN'T THE FIRST ONE TO RETURN WITHOUT CHAPATIS.

Hey dick-wad (aka navin r), "GET A LIFE". Man (actually not YOU!), do you have a hard-on for chapatis or something? Because that is all that seems to be on your mind. Also, your english skills majorly suck nimrod. I understand the whole FOB dealio, but then don't write dweebus, because nerdlings such as yourself are giving the rest of us a serious name ass licking. You need to get out DUDE!! Seriously, get off the chapatis and get a woman or something!

Cooks at KER
By navin r.
Recently, I visited to Ker to buy some Chapatis. I asked cashier for some chapatis. When cashier went into kitchen and asked cooks, they told cashier to make chapatis herself, as they don't have any time. so cashier apologized and told me that they don't have any chapatis and I was told the whole thing in kitchen.

I'm pretty sure, I wasn't the first one to return without any chapatis. Ker should fire those cooks who cannot fulfill any orders and customers had to leave without their orders.

Shame on cooks, that they are lowering their owner's business.

The people that work at Ker are some of the rudest, most obnoxious people I have come into contact with. I will never step into this store again, if I have to drive to LA to get indian merchandise, I will gladly do so rather than sopping at KER. You cannot trust the price you see you packages, as we got some daal with a price tag on it that said "$2.99" Mr kapil, Nusarat argued price was wrong and was supposed to be $4.99. What bad customer service. When we asked to speak with the manager, he/she was unavailable for comment. Pathetic, uneducated people.

THEY HAVE SOME RUDE PEOPLE WORKING AT KER. HOWEVER, I THINK THE TWIN SISTERS ARE THE RUDEST. EVERYBODY ELSE IS NOT THAT BAD. THEY HAVE GOT ATTITUDE PROBLEM. IF YOU ASK THEM WHEREABOUTS OF ANYTHING, THEY DON'T KNOW MOST OF TIME. THEY ALWAYS ASK SOMEBODY ELSE. KER SHOULD HIRE SOME KNOWLEDGEABLE CASHIERS.

Call it an Indian costco where you will find everything from groceries, spices, gift items.....anything Indian at a very reasonable price. They have a big selection of movies too and a restaurant that caters to vegetarians. Lunch buffet is only $7 dollars and weekend is only $9...thats cheap if you look at the item they have to offer........breads are hot. clean and organized compared to the other indian stores and looking at the size its well managed. I love to shop at KER........friendly staff too.

I have always felt satisfied when in the store. All the reqired grocery i need for my cooking is easily available under a single roof without the hassel of roaming to different shops. Moreover the prices are totally reasonable . They have a huge place but need to have more good employes to help customers and provide quick service.

Ker has a large warehouse athmosphere which makes it an Indian man's Costco or atleast grocerty store, in comparison to the little strip mall stores we usually see. They certainly do have a large selection, as well as a restuarant inside, but like most Indian stores it is somewhat cluttered and dirty. There is also another problem with Ker driving the other local Indian stores out of business due to its size..
