I recently visited the restaurant and its the most horrible experience in my life. Although we had reservation both the table and food was an incredibly long wait. In addition they sat us in a completely different section than we had been promised to have when I made the reservations. They continued to forget our drinks and every time we reminded the staff they gave us a malicious response. Our waiter was more concerned with gossiping with his colleagues than assist our table. Towards the end of evening as it was getting chilly I asked the manager to turn on the heating lamp because the busboy turned it off while he was cleaning our table. He cruelly refused, began snapping his fingers and basically became violent with his foul language and demeanor. In an error in judgment, we decided to stay for the birthday girl. Since the restaurant turns into a club the staff began removing our chairs from the table before we finished our desserts and drinks. This is ultimately the worse experience ever!

Waiter was super rude. Waiter was rushing us to finish our dinner. Threw a pen at one of our persons in our group so she can sign her check. Food was not that good. Would not go back ever

This spot was quite cool because of the private areas and cabanas that your party could convene. Music was everywhere, drinks were flowing, and if you wanted to show partying people a good time, this would be one of the places to go. The appetizers were all wonderful, priced normally. The service was pretty good considering how many people were throughout the joint. I could go again and would recommend.

I've been to Villa Sorriso once for dinner and a dozen times for snacks and wine/beer. The happy hour (4-7pm) prices on weekdays are competitive with other places in Pasadena (beer $3, food $4, wine in big glasses $5) and you can also order reasonably-priced appetizers from their standard menu. The $4 Pepperoni Pizza is spectacular.

Service isn't always fantastic, but I certainly haven't ever had the negative experience of other reviewers. Definitely recommended either for a meal or afternoon drinks.

But the bad service was a big distraction from what would have been a great dinner.

Waiter disappeared for very long periods at a time.

Coffee wasn't offered with dessert. And when we did get some coffee it was room temperature. When warm (not hot) coffee finally arrived it had a curious foam (not espresso ... more like soap) on the top of it ...

A peevish person identified as a manager did come to our table when we objected to the addition of a gratuity without having 8 persons at our table.

What's sad about this is that our food was amazing.

Will wait for a "New Management" sign in the window before returning.

There is a private room that my company rented out for our Christmas party. It was nice and the food was really good. It wasnt loud up there and there werent other guests around so it was easy to mingle with co-workers. I have also been here for dinner and the food was really good. They have big portions so if you are not a big eater i suggest splitting with someone.

i have gone here on several occasions and been impressed every time. the food is great no matter what you get. they have pasta, salad, pizza, and its all excellent. i went here with all my girl friends. we sat outside and even though it was cold out they had heaters and it was a great atmosphere to enjoy each others company. i also came here with my dad before. we sat inside. the service was fantastic and we both loved the food. this would also be a great place to come on a date. i highly recommend this restaurant.

The food here is very good and not too pricey. Service is very good too. You can eat inside or on the large patio--which is nicely located in the front, but protected from the street. I've been here several times and definetly will go back.

The food is great. They have a lot of seafood dishes. I had the shrimp & lobster ravioli which was delicious.
I wasn't as happy about the service. We had a 7:30 reservation and waited for an hour. When we checked with the hostess, she would say 10 more minutes or we're almost ready to seat you. We complained to her and the waiter, and they would apologize, but I think we should have gotten a free something for waiting so long.

PROS: great seafood
CONS: long wait

I love this place, and the new location is absolutely grand. There isn't an item I've had there that wasn't good.

The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow. However, if you're not in a hurry, this is definitely the place to dine. Brunch is phenom!

Killer upstairs lounge! Great food, good price. Ambience/decor feels like the UK.
